Goldstar Inn — Hotel in Los Angeles

The room was pretty old and run down. The shower head was too low and had horrible water pressure. The furniture was outdated, worn and didn't match. The bathroom door was hanging onto the frame by one hinge and didn't shut all the way. The T.V. was a good size flat screen but the employee at the front desk looked at my wife like she was insane when she asked if the remote control was available. The front desk called 3 times in the 4 hours leading up to checkout to remind us that checkout was at 11am witch I felt was rude and unnecessary. The type of customers this place attracted was definitely lower class at best, not being stuck up or rude, but the type of people that enjoyed the lifestyle here were in no way strangers the inside of a jail cell. My wife and I were woken up at 3 am to a drunk woman slamming doors and stomping around in the room above us, all the while she violently screamed at her children for crying. That was so disturbing that my wife was forced to call 911 in fear of the children's safety, while the rest of the customers and employees treated the incident as if it was business as usual... The positives of the experience was slim but were very appreciated. The room came with a refrigerator. The water was hot. The air conditioning blew cold air. The towels were clean. Most of all, the mattresses were extremely comfortable pillow tops and the beds had clean sheets and descent pillows... Overall the experience we had at this motel was far from relaxing and enjoyable.. The Motel had definitely seen its share of drug deals and crimes. Goldstar Inn is run down and not to clean. They charge for everything too. If you have a dog that's $20 a day. If you have a visitor that's $20 and I think if they stay over night it's $100 per person. The list goes on and on. As of writing they have been to my room once to clean . I have been here a week. Microwave, sodas and atm are on the side behind the office outside. I didn't find these for 2 days. The area is a little rough. After staying a month a few things did happen. I would never stay in this filthy place again. Here's the heads up. They charge you for everything. If you need fresh towels you will need to ask for them. If you need T.P you will have to ask and be careful with the extra charges. When I was out one day they checked me out. They packed my room up and then they called me. I was back there within 5 minutes . When I went through my things several things were missing. I talked to the daughter of the owner ,an adult and she said she knew nothing about it. SHE was the one that packed all of my things up because she told me she didjust the day before. She just threw all of my things into trash bags by the way. So she lied about packing my things, about needing to check out, probably about charging me $20 each time my friends would stop by to say hello. No one would call me back about my missing things or come to the phone for that matter . I never got to speak to anyone other than her. So they not only got me for over $100 a day but all of my jewelry, cash,my pillows, weed and $20 everything anyone would come to see me. DO NOT STAY HERE! Do not, I repeat. DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is beyond dirty, the room stenched of cigarette. I wished we stayed in what he picture looked like, it is NOTHING compared to what we stayed in. There is mold on the walls, dirt on table, grime on the telephone, dust and mold on the AC unit and the floor was sticky, the bed was beaten up and creaked each time I moved, We found hairs on the towels. TAhe worst part about this is we watch two young men walk up into the room we just checked out in (I think they were supposed to be workers or cleaners) and make the bed with the sheets we just used!!!
