Checked out early this morning due to cockroaches crawling on my face last night while I was sleeping. I had 2 nights left in my weekly stay but the roaches made it impossible to stay, ive lived in conditions as a child (cockroaches, bums on the sidewalk, loud music, etc) that this hotel posses but it's one thing for a building structure to have cockroaches but its a totally different ball game when you have vicious cockroaches , in the beginning it was bareable but the night before last they started to crawl on the t.v making it difficult to focus on t.v shows since the t.v's are placed high up they are unable to be reached . The price is reasonable ; 1 person 350$ 2 person 360$ shared bathroom no deposit. Check-in was easy ,were asked the basic questions ..(ex.how many nights/weeks, how many people")The bathrooms are kept clean for the most part. Idk if one of the tenants kept stealing the toilet paper or it really was being used that much .. Trash is to be placed by the front office if you have any. They also have a public microwave that doesn't really heat well but does the job after 5 minutes. If you have ANY food in your room whatsoever in the room , you must MAKE SURE you put it in the refrigerator.
Upon check out when trying to explain to the older male at the front desk of the issue he immediately began to shake his head as if they dont have roaches but then again English is not there first languageso maybe he wasn't even understanding me. After telling him I'm not looking for a reimbursement/refund he began to listen after I explained the situation I walked away and all he could say was "have a good day" so obviously they dont care for there tenants. Overall clean & quiet place to stay just a bad infestation of unruly cockroaches.. And parking is...
Read moreI loved this place, honestly.
Obviously the primary reason is the insanely good price - when everywhere within 5 miles that's of a similar quality is double the price, I really don't understand how one can give a poor rating. If you couldn't handle a small room or not having your own personal place to relieve yourself (this should not take more than a few minutes anyway, so a tiny fraction of your stay), why did you decide on the cheapest place in the area? Confusing.
In spite of the super low price, nearly everything else about this place was pretty great too. The other guests were very polite, everything was nice and quiet, the room and especially the shared bathroom were clean (I saw no bugs whatsoever and even the sheets smelled freshly laundered without being overkill like some places), the bed was plenty comfortable for a single night (on the firm side, my personal preference) and there was a huge TV and free wireless (he wrote the password on my key card) and even a microwave available in the hall. I felt incredibly secure in this place (the back door does not open and the only entrance is SPECTACULAR, with a huge staircase leading up to the quaint little lobby with the very kind manager behind a window), and that's exactly what I was getting a room for.
The only issue I had with the place was that the bathroom (in my room - I paid the extra few bucks for it) admittedly smelled pretty strongly of mold, HOWEVER I thoroughly inspected the entire bathroom and couldn't find any visible nor did I see any openings in the walls or ceiling. ╮( ❛ ᴗ ❛ )╭ I just kept the door to the bathroom closed all night and...
Read moreStaying for work a couple of weeks in the area, I looked for a non expensive hotel/motel. I took a room with its own bathroom. The room are really small with nothing to put to hang clothes. They are supposed to provide room service every 4 days, which is fair regarding the price but no service in two weeks.."you need to be present to have room service" told me one of the many teenagers running the place. I've been lucky to not have to many neighboors as the insulation is really poor, you can hear conversation from next door..so try to imagine when the TV is on, you can't sleep even with hear plugs. My bed was clean and as the room, they have been remodeled recently and you have a flat screen TV, free wifi and a fridge, that's the only good points. However, the two rooms I saw did not have windows, neither heater or AC so consider that in summer because you're right under the thin roof with no air ventilation..., you can even hear the pigeon chanting on it. I really felt like in jail cell! Also I could not have an invoice for my expenses...so long for the taxes...I'll see with my tax advisor how to handle that! Also, prices might fluctuate as I paid $350 per week but they wanted to charge me $400 the second week..even if they advertise everywhere $350. So really don't do the same mistake, for a bit more they're few better choices in this area. I was busy with work and did feel like looking around so I stayed a second week but I really do not...
