El Dorado Motel — Hotel in Los Angeles

BEWARE IF YOU ARE GOING ALONE AND FEMALE!! During the rental , the manager a male asked if anyone would be with me, I thought that was a typical question asked at all hotels so I told him just my child....i left and came back, within 5 minutes there was a knock on the door, it was the male manager.... He was bringing me me ID... I thanked him and he basically barged his way into the room asking was everything OK.... He insisted on checking the TV... KEPT ASKING me if I needed anything and to come to him,he wanted to shake my hand and even tried to hug me.My child was not with me and he asked where the child was and then WHERE IS HER DAD.... Finally got him to just leave, to only be disturbed by the couple next door fighting and soon after loud adult activities..... So I went back to the lobby and asked for another room.... It was only 8pm and I wasn't going to spend the rest of the night next to that, he moved me to another room....instead of just giving me another key he insisted on going to the room with me... I felt sooooo uneasy... I stayed at the door while he went allll the way in and tried to get me to come inside and check the bathroom............ When that didn't work he offered me beer and of course if I needed anything...... My boyfriend picked me up and I told him what happened, he said he saw him standing outside when he walked to the room watching him... This morning when I went to check out he was much less friendly .||...he asked if I smoked in the room I'm assuming for the $20 deposit return... I told him no.... 'Well what about your friend.... You told me no male friends and I saw him come.... ". Place was clean for the price, but I will...

So my family and I stayed here over night and the room was terrible. The walls had stains, the carpets were dirty, and during the night like at 2am my dad got bit on his butt at first we didn’t know what it was we thought it was probably a spider and the bite bumps it left were about an inch in diameter. So then my dad wakes up again and turns on the light he finally found the bug it was a bed bug!! In total he got bit 11 times. (Neck,back,butt,arm) it was so bad I wish I could insert the pictures but email me if you want to see. Also when I took a shower the next morning the towels and rags that were provided were stained and dirty like very dirty yellow, brown, black stains. Some even looked like makeup stains. The pillows also had stains honestly I doubt they even change the sheets because the hotel room was so poor. Honestly these people who say “good things” about this place are wrong. There are plenty of bad reviews even about bugs I just wish I read them and $150 dollars for two beds for that poor quality man if I’m spending 150 a night I expect clean towels and no bugs. The owners response was why didn’t u tell us when it happened, keep in mind this happened late at night and we aren’t the type of people to complain we were tired of having a 3 hour drive. They acted like they didn’t believe us and we showed them my dads bites and the lady didn’t even care but the man pretended but he just took orders from the lady. After always relying on going to a Motel 6 with my bf when we traveled, we finally got let down by them when they had rooms available online but when we got there were all booked! we scrambled the internet to find a cheaper motel for the night in the area and even though we didnt find it we got more for our money! Rooms are beautiful! they come with a mini fridge and microwave, a king size bed (with the most comfortable sheets!) AND a HUGE, NEW TV. it also comes with a spacious shower and a tub.We payed 70 even for this room (including all the taxes) and we would have spent maybe a few bucks less if we did go to the M6, and we would have had their crap TV from the 90s, a TINY shower, and their cheap stereotypical blankets.. I'm so glad we gave this place a chance, and we will definitely be returning! AND i felt really safe there with the well-lit parking lot and video surveillance. If you want a night out and wanna be able to do more with your money COME HERE! El Dorad...
