Eh, it was ok but won't stay here again. The cabin itself is pretty but overpriced in my opinion. There was a major fireplace malfunction reported on the first day and no response to my calls, urgent voice mails or emails for hours and hours and the indoor temp became unbearable because it would not turn off. We had to open all doors and windows to let the heat out and it was so hot upstairs that no one could sleep up there. It should have been and should be checked between reservations. Dirty dishes in the cabinets and food stuck on some utensils and cookware although a large cleaning fee is charged even though you are required to clean, empty garbage and do dishes before checking out but apparently no one checks to see if the dishes, utensils and cookware are actually clean. The 2 beds were comfy but the fold outs are in desperate need of a new mattress. It was like sleeping on a rack. Extremely uncomfortable. The linens for the fold out were to be provided but none there so I had to purchase and launder a set. Not very private either. The owners home is in direct view from the front porch. If I had known this was the owner's home, I would have walked over there to get assistance with the malfunctioning fireplace since my calls and emails were not answered in a timely manner. Luray is beautiful, especially in the fall with the colorful foliage but we will look for a place with more privacy and comfort should we ever go...
Read moreThere are two cabins on this property so if you see pics of the other cabin...they will look different (obviously). We had an amazing time here. The place was clean and nice while still having a rustic cabin vibe. Full kitchen with plates, pots and pans was very useful. The fireplace is gas and looked nice, although we didn't use it. Beds and all the furniture were very comfy. They have extra blankets, board games and books. They also have a Roku TV and we were able to watch a movie on Netflix after signing in. Wi-Fi included. We enjoyed the book about the discovery of Luray Caverns--which is only a couple minutes away and is a must-see. A cool winery (Wisteria) and wine tasting room (Stover Hall) were about 10 minutes away. The restaurants and stores nearby were good too. Thanks for the...
Read moreThis cabin was really cozy and so convenient to the Luray Caverns; we really enjoyed our stay. Something to note about Country Time Cabin is that the 2nd bedroom is in a loft area and the bathroom up there has a tub but no shower. This worked fine for our family of 3 but might raise some privacy issues for some. The only reason I'm not giving the cabin 5 stars is because the bed downstairs squeaked every time we moved, and the mattress definitely sloped to the middle so we didn't sleep great. But the cabin was clean and a great home away from home for our getaway. I would definitely...
