Put a $100 hold on my card for incidentals, promised it would come off in 24 hours, it’s three days I’m still waiting. I hate that. Imagine the interest they’re making on the thousands of customers they got $100 hold on for 3,4,5 days. As to the hotel, it’s brand new and a good location. Still has the kind of new carpet smell in the rooms and Halls if you’re sensitive, that might be a problem. The breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever had at a nice hotel. The eggs were powdery And tasteless, the bacon was so thin it was translucent, the coffee was so thin you could barely call it coffee. They were out of milk completely. In all the breakfast was a big disappointment for the money they’re charging for this room. Most rooms in the area are around $70. This one is about 120.But the actual bed and sleep was fine. No road noise from the interstate. I will tell you this the doors slam amazingly loud in the morning, so don’t plan to sleep late unless you...
Read moreVery Unsatisfactory stay at the Holiday Inn Express.... very convenient location right off I-10 and check in was fine, after that it was all downhill...the Bathroom floor had more hair on it than any hotel I've ever stayed in (and that's over 1,000 nights in the last 10 years)... overall the room needed a serious cleaning...in addition the walls are paper thin, I could hear every step taken on the floor above me...the breakfast was okay but the Pancake machine was broken (thought this was a new property) and they were out of Milk... seriously, there is a Supermarket less than a mile away and finally at check out time there was no one stationed at the front desk...let's face it, for a Hotel off the Interstate most people are in the middle of a road trip and the last thing you want to do is wait even longer to check out...I finally just left my key on the counter...I'd definitely not recommend this place and certainly would never return regardless...
Read moreIn all honesty there are pros and cons to this hotel. I requested a King suite a month and a half prior to stay. When I checked in, I got a double bed suite. The room was pretty small for a suite....the difference between a suite and regular room, is an uncomfortable sofa. The beds however were comfortable. The breakfast is highly recommended. Here is the biggest downfall... the ac doesn't run in any of the hallways. It was extremely hot. When we asked the front desk why it wasn't working, I was informed that the OWNER doesn't want them on. This is pathetic, especially for an almost $400.00 2 night stay. Unfortunately, I would recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites. For the same costs....rooms are bigger and they do run their ac. I stayed at Holiday Inn because I am a member, but when I return again in the fall I'm staying at the Hampton and...
