The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and more than willing to help us. Originally we booked at the Lee Vining Motel across the street but on arrival, we saw it was a real dump so changed to this one. The present owner of this motel has purchased the Lee Vining. The best thing he has going for him is his help. However, he might consider putting some of that money he takes for his rooms and do some upgrades before worrying about the next dumpy motel he just bought. Since we were traveling on motorcycles, we took a street level room. No air conditioning and no fridge all for the low, low price of $190!!! Geesh!!! The shower stall is smaller than in our rv and the paint job, if you want call it that, around the bathroom windows was awful! There is a nice deck in the back though with chairs so that was a plus. Also, the restaurant across the street had excellent food.

We booked the deluxe family room, which promised three queen beds (see attached photo). What we got was one double bed, one king bed, and a pull out couch! No way that is even remotely three queen beds. Not only that, but the pull out couch needed a cumbersome setup to use. And its cushion (not a mattress) was so thin that we felt every piece of the metal from the couch frame digging into our bodies. To add insult to injury, the pull out couch didn’t even have sheets, blankets, or pillows! It was already night when we got there, so the manager was not onsite to do anything about it. When we went to the office the next morning and asked for a small recompense, the manager absolutely refused. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Rooms are clean and had a great bathroom. The room is a bit cramped but everything you need is there. Parking is limited and can be an issue, however they were sold out during our visit and had room. Great view from the rooms and easy 2 minute walk for food. Breakfast and dinner options across the street. A market is about a 4 minute walk away and has everything! Would stay here again, great spot to stop while traveling.

I booked a stay at Yosemite Gateway Motel with high hopes for a relaxing trip to Yosemite National Park. Unfortunately, a nearby wildfire caused road closures and made it unsafe and impossible to access the area. Despite the obvious and serious nature of the emergency, the motel was extremely uncooperative and unwilling to issue a timely refund.

Instead of showing understanding or empathy in a situation entirely outside of guests’ control, they stalled the refund process and provided minimal communication or support. It’s disappointing and frustrating to see a hospitality business prioritize short-term gain over basic decency and customer care during a crisis.

Travelers should be aware that in the event of natural disasters or unforeseen road closures, this establishment does not seem prepared to act fairly or flexibly. I urge management to reconsider its refund policies and improve its responsiveness during emergencies. Until then, I cannot...

I paid $210.00 on a Tuesday night. The office staff was not friendly, greeting with only looking up from the desk. The room is right off the road and was quite loud with the semi's passing through the night. I was looking forward to a nice shower and noticed they did not put conditioner in my room, when I went to the office to ask for conditioner, they dug in a bin, then simply said they didn't have any. No apologies. For $210.00 I would think they could provide conditioner. The shower door did not stay closed and the water ran out onto the floor. The bed and pillows were very hard. The towels were stiff. At 5:45am I was woken by other guest talking and opening/closing doors to shared balcony. Walls are paper thin. My accommodations on my 4 day backpacking trip were more...
