Horse Creek Inn - McCook — Hotel in McCook

I have stayed at 4 different hotels in McCook and without a doubt think that THE HORSE CREEK INN is by far my favorite / best. Reasons being , the new owners (husband and wife) are young Go getters! They make you feel as if you’re at home instead of just another person renting a room from them. Instantly as I walked in the young bubbly wife was welcoming and friendly (unlike my experience with the others - won’t name names). The husband on the other hand is equally as welcoming and just wants to make sure you are having everything you need to enjoy your stay to the upmost. Super accommodating, friendly , the rooms are very nice and the AC WILL freeze you out !!’ Which I loved. I can honestly say that I don’t have a negative thing to say about the place. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

Oh yeah! And the price isn’t crazy high either , they’re not gauging you it’s a fair rate for an awesome stay! Weekly and monthly rate accommodations is the best way to go honestly if you plan on staying for that long.

There’s restaurants, movie theater, shopping strip mall and wall mart all within a stones throw away which is nice to have everything within walking your dog distance (which they allow dogs , and have a resident cat too) I’m an animal lover and click with other animal lovers … which they are.

Staff isn't helpful at all. I've been trying to settle an unknown $100 charge to my account and then come to find out they charged me for "smoking" in the room. To which I responded was impossible as I am 100% certain no smoking was done in the room. Now before I go on to this next part I will say, 2 out of 3 in my group in the room are smokers; but they smoked outside as any normal person that doesn't want to get fined would. So I asked for evidence of smoking happening in the room. They sent me pictures of an EMPTY vape pod, and NON SMOKED tobacco. In the bottom of the trash covered in mcdonalds because, yes, they were that desperate to try and pin something on us. Even though it isn't proof and is clearly just assumption.. what's in the trash doesn't define what happened in a room. I highly recommend you do not give this hotel even a penny of your money. They will find any reason to charge you as much as you would have spent staying somewhere else that isn't as run...

Really nice place. I was not sure what to expect and I did not have high hopes, however, I was pleasantly surprised. Seems like a nice, family owned place, not a chain. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and it had all the amenities like soap, shampoo etc. the bathroom was clean and the water was hot. The room wasn’t noisy, and the air conditioning worked well and wasn’t noisy either. My car was safe in the parking lot.

They had a breakfast until 9 I believe, that was good. The food was great and hot, I had no complaints and they had decent coffee as well.

They have a couple of cats who hang out in the lobby and they are very nice and friendly. They also have a nice fishtank in the lobby.

Great hotel with friendly staff located right off the road. Definitely recommend this place and would stay/will stay here again if stopping in...
