What a nightmare. I extended my reservation for a couple weeks and noticed I still had a checkout time of 11 and a check in time of 3pm. So I asked the front desk if I can just stay in my same room instead of going through all that, and the man said yes just call the front desk in the morning at let them know you are staying in the same room. I’m like “uhh call the front desk, like you?” And he said yes call tomorrow morning.
So I call the front desk in the morning which was a huge inconvenience since I work nights and it interrupted my sleep. They said no problem I can stay in the same room. I go back to sleep. A couple hours later housekeeping opens my door walking me up! She said sorry and left…
Then at like 3pm A GUEST opens my door because they gave her a key to MY ROOM! She was so embarrassed and apologetic but the front desk does not communicate with each other or management.
For the rest of my stay I put a do not disturb sign (homemade bc they don’t give you one) on my door on days when I had to work at night. This did absolutely nothing as housekeeping knocked multiple times each day which was infuriating.
Come my actual check out day I ask if I can check out at noon instead of 11 cuz I worked the night before and wanted some sleep. The front desk guy said no problem. Guess what? You got it, he didn’t tell anybody. So housekeeping tried three separate times to open my door between 9am and 11am. (Yes they open the door, not just knock, so put the lever lock on if you don’t want staff and others barging in on you). I just wanted a few hours of sleep after work before checking out. THEN a manager comes knocking on my door at 11 to ask why the hell I’m not checked out yet!! Bruh
So that must be it then right? Of course not. After I talked to the manager at my door I get a call to my room phone. The lady at the front desk asks if I’m checking out because the room needs to be cleaned!!!
Do not stay here if you work nights. I don’t recommend staying here at all because I didn’t even mention the issues with cleanliness which were minor compared to the inept staff. But especially not if you...
Read moreWorst hotel experience ever!!! I had to unexpectedly stay over night in Fairfax VA after I was asked to return to the immigration offices the following day. I decided to stay instead of making a 4 hour drive back home and having to return to Fairfax the next day.
I get online and find this hotel and decide it's fine for the $94 a night. Once I arrive I ask the receptionist if she had any rooms available. She says yes and proceeds to tell me the cheapest room she has is for $130 a night taxes not included! I tell her and show her my phone that it's online for $94.
She says okay I can give it to you for $100 taxes included i reluctantly agree. Later that day I decide to go out for a bite and a movie.
I come back and the key to my room isn't working. I keep trying but the door doesn't open. I call the front desk and there is no answer. I decide to walk to the front desk and it's closed and no one answers.
I'm calling and still no answer. It's 30 degrees outside I'm freezing and I can't reach anyone. They have a phone next to the lobby door, I use it and still no one answers. After about 40 MINUTES of being outside in the cold I get in touch with someone at another location. She says she's going to try to send someone.
I wait another 15 minutes and a lady that looks like she just rolled out of bed with dirty hair and clothes comes out of the lobby asks me to come in. I tell her my key doesn't work, that I need to speak to a manager because I've been outside for 40 minutes waiting for someone to answer the phone.
She proceeds to tell me it's my fault that I must've done something to the key so they stopped working. There is no manager on site and that she's sorry but her phone was on silent so she didn't hear the phone.
They didn't refund me for the night or anything, just gave me another set of keys and that was the end of it. No customer service what so ever! Never staying here again or any other extended stay...
Read moreThis is a motel, meaning you drive up to park and your room entrance faces the parking lot, so no hallways or interior rooms. Not that this is bad, but be sure it is not a "hotel".
Extended stay is designed perfectly for traveling work crews or other working folks who may be staying 1+ weeks at a time, which they provide an efficiency type set up for (kitchenette w/ fridge, stove, microwave etc) The price was good and my wife and I stayed because its literally next door to the Ortho Medical offices so it was very convenient. As a place to rest your head it works, but as for luxury it leaves A LOT to be desired.
Complaints: There were dozens of ants crawling all over the heating / AC unit. The water pressure was weak and the tub drained slowly. There was some sort of silver fish type insect crawling in the tub. The "free" wireless was absolutely terrible. I was unable to open a single web browser which would load information on a potential resteraunt in under 10 minutes. Their wireless router(s) if there's more than just one, are in dire need of a massive upgrade. Ironically (or maybe its on purpose) they did offer an upgrade to faster internet speeds for a fee. See how that works? Sooo..if you jad planned to log in and do some work, you'll pay for that (even then I cannot imagine their servics would be much faster) When I checked in the front desk was empty and I had to call to get an attendant.
For $141.00 I'd expect the very basic ammenities to be better / cleaner...
