I discovered this wonderful little hidden gem while my dog was at the vet across the road. There is some reserved parking outside for the cafe. Upon entering you can immediately see the employees hard at work and have a view into the kitchen. All the staff were professional, extremely polite, engaged in their work and all were wearing filter masks which is a mandatory requirement for me. There wasnt any booming music, funky smells, boisterous workers, or unmasked employees that you normally encounter. The cafe itself and restrooms are exceptionally clean to the point you could sit on the floor. You can really tell they care for this place.
I enjoyed a western omelet with sriracha, homefries with peppers and onions, rye toast with strawberry jelly and a small hazelnut coffee. The omelet was fluffy and well put together, just the right amount of filling without bursting and being messy. I was pleasantly surprised by the home fries which were super tender almost like they were stewed, even the toast was nice, unlike other places that burn their toast and slather it in butter, this was simple plain rye toast with just the right amount of jelly to add sweetness without being candy. The hazel coffee was a little weak on its own but it actually went very well with the meal with how easily sippable it was considering i take coffee black. I took my time and easily cleaned my plate. I didnt feel sluggish or stuffed the way you feel after greasy breakfast, neither was I left feeling unsatisfied and hungry, just pleasantly content. The meal and coffee totalled around just eight dollars or so.
This place is easily one of the best places I have enjoyed a pretty standard American breakfast. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who will treat the cafe and its workers with the respect they deserve. Looking forward to...
Read moreMy wife and I went for breakfast there due to the great reviews. Maybe my expectations were too high but I was really disappointed. The atmosphere looks like a combination of a convenience store front area with basic tables and chairs nearby. We had to wait for the coffee to brew and we didn’t like the acidic taste of the medium roast blend. In addition there is no refill of the coffee. The bacon and scrapple were overcooked, chewy and hard. Pancakes appeared to have been thawed out to cook, and both the basic scrambled eggs and pancakes were served at room temperature. On a positive note the two ladies there were very nice and tried to provide good service. We may have just caught them at a bad time or maybe the usual cook was not there that day. The lunch menu looked promising and may be worth a try, but I have to say I struggled to give this place 3 stars...
Read moreI am a huge fan of a well made club sandwich and this place makes some of the best club sandwiches in the area! Fresh, made to order with a variety of topping choices and in-house prepared ingredients. When I find myself in this part of town I can't help but stop in for my favorite turkey club on toasted sourdough!
Lots of other choices on the menu and a large lunch buffet featuring asian and american clasics round out your choices. The breakfast options are also fast and inexpensive covering all the basics (and more) and they open early for the working crowds.
Facilities are always very clean, staff friendly, and if you are a regular you are always greeted by name. Stop in for a bite, I think you will be...
