Do not stay here, this place is Management at its worst!! We came to miami for a family emergency and found this hotel that was located near the hospital my 88 year old grandma would get heart surgery at. Management was fully aware of our situation and that we were staying here out of necessity and not vacationing. Five months into staying here dealing with incompetent and rude staff, filthy facilities, nasty linen (so we washed ourselves), horrible service (so we cleaned our room ourselves) and bad management, we finally experienced the unthinkable. To explain, out of the blue they decided to repave the parking lot without letting guests know and started towing all cars. We had just been discharged from the hospital and woke up next morning to not find our car. The manager said it was something last minute and they had little time to organize but they had posted notices around the hotel. We walked the entire hotel and found only one paper facing the inside of a building column which had only been posted the previous day they began work according to other guests, paper had vague information, no specific dates and no map with phases anywhere to be found. (See attached image). The correct procedure would have been to leave a notice on each and every door with enough anticipation and specific details for proper accommodations to be made. Since we were already staying here and had much to pack and move, we ignored what had happened and cooperated for an entire week with parking our car all the way on the other side of the property while it was raining non-stop. Workers would not show up days at a time to continue the job you would think the hotel would have an urgency to have completed. Then on a Saturday night we did not find any parking on the back of the hotel and decided to park on our usual handicap spot in front of our room. We called reception and let them know my grandma who is handicapped and a cardiac patient was not feeling well tonight, there was no parking in the back, it was raining profusely and since workers would not come on a Sunday (street had already been paved days ago) we would park the car in front of our room to have it close by in case we needed to run to the emergency room. We asked them to please not tow our car, we even left a note on the car which already had the handicap decal required by law. Kimberly, the rude eye rolling front desk agent with no consideration still went ahead and called the towing company. My mom who is also a disabled veteran injured herself on her way out to try and stop the car from being towed. We let them know it was against the law what they were doing but they had no compassion nor cared to accommodate. We had to call the police and file a report, meanwhile the front desk agent said she was only following instructions from the manager, whom she had called and who was fully aware of our situation. We had already talked in various occasions about staff being unprofessional and our experience to the manager, Jorge Soza. The least you would expect from hospitality workers is empathy but this place is inconvenience after inconvenience with no consideration for guests. I would never recommend this place to anyone and would give it zero stars if possible. This was completely uncalled for and simply outrageous, we will be filing a complaint with ADA and take all necessary measures to prevent anyone else from experiencing this ever again.

This is the first time I leave a review in response to a hotel survey. “Extremely disappointed” wouldn’t actually reflect my experience at the property. Everything about this hotel is wrong: from the customer service at the front desk to the room. I work at VISA which is located a very short walk from your hotel, and I will make sure our management as well as every VISA employee is made aware of how horrendous my experience was, and to avoid this brand and property at all costs. 1) I had to wait some 15 minutes to get someone to open the reception door, only after I walked around the property and found someone in the back where laundry is done. 2) The person at the reception yelled at me for standing and knocking at the wrong door (the reception has 2 separate doors). I am sure the security cameras captured that. 3) I was given a smoking room when my reservation clearly stated non-smoking. 4) I took a picture of a cockroach inside the drawer of the dresser that the TV is on. I had to leave all lights on the whole time out of fear that more cockroaches might crawl out. 5) There were cigarette burns all over the room, especially on the lamp and the bathroom sink. 6) The floors were dirty, to the point that I didn’t take my shoes off the entire time in the room. I did not dare step inside the bathtub, and opted instead to take my shower at VISA’s bathroom. 7) there was no TV remote so I couldn’t even turn the tv on. The A/C worked, if I had to mention one not negative. No one should expect luxury at a 2-star hotel, but cleanliness is the minimum acceptable standard for any hotel.

Arrived after a late night flight canceled. “Lobby” door locked - phone to call attendant had a half smoked cigarette on phone box. Waited nervously until someone came to unlock door. Reservation could not be located… attendant thought it had not posted from Hotels.com yet and said to wait 10 minutes or so until it posted (it’s after 1 am!)… asked to just book a room so family could go to bed. Once done, attendant said “2nd building” and gave room number and sent us on our way. We wandered the property to find the room… no offer to walk us to room… and finally located it on the back parking lot area.

Property was filthy. Litter literally littered the property. Obviously we saw a lot of the property as we search for our room in the middle of the night with a wagon load of luggage in tow.

Upon arrival in the room my husbands first words were “I’m sorry”. While the room appeared clean the beds looked to be two slightly bigger that twin “full” bed. Luckily they moved easily and we were able to push them together so my 6 foot son and husband and I could attempt to get some rest after our ordeal at the airport.

We ultimately slept in our clothes as my son found and killed crawling bug on the floor as we were trying to get ready for bed. We moved all the luggage we could to the table and waited for morning to come.

Morning greeted me to a “continental breakfast” consisting of breakfast bars and plastic wrapped muffin. Coffee - thank goodness - but only Coffee Mate squirt jugs… would some Mini Moos half & half be too much to ask for? Found the one styrofoam coffee cup… and made a cup of coffee. Went outside and sat on the back of a truck car trailer as there was no outside seating area to have my coffee as the rest of the family slept.

My observation is this hotel must be longer term interim housing for people.

Rebooked flight is not until this evening but we’re going to airport as soon as possible rather than stay here.

If you are a woman traveling alone or have a family and find yourself similarly situated, I highly recommend finding other accommodations. If you are a single male just needing a bed for a night… room seemed clean (absent the large bug which you can kill on your own) and get some rest… make sure you asks for two beds in your room as you’ll need both if you plan on turning over...

The hotel is in a good location but as far as I could see it wasn’t near any shops or anything like that. I could be wrong but as a tourist I didn’t spot any. The bus stop is directly outside the hotel and you can get the number 7 bus to get you to the local mall and to other places/bus routes. This was very handy being that everything is spread out.l and the bus was cheap at $2.25 each.

The staff are very nice and helpful and were able to point us in the directions we needed and we were able to leave our cases there until check-in which is 15:00 (check-out is 11:00). When we checked out they allowed us to leave our cases for a bit as we had a late flight. This was a very nice service and helpful for us, top marks there!

The hotel itself is basic. We were a little surprised that a kettle and cups were not automatically provided, you had to ask for those yourself at reception but not a major issue. Internet is also provided which is a massive plus if you need to connect your devices.

The breakfast was coffee or a selection of teas. Hot water and coffee were provided in a self serve fashion. Breakfast food was a selection of packed muffins. The only thing I would say is that it probably needs more than one coffee pot, every time it was filled up it was running out just as fast, so any recommendation would be to provide probably more coffee/a second pot, the hot water never got touched when I was there.

Apart from that, there were no real problems, the rooms were fine. We had a bit of an issue with our air-conditioning the second night because it wouldn’t switch off, but these were just little things really nothing major at all. If you’re looking for something to get your head down, this would be absolutely ideal. If you’re looking for something a little bit more longer term then I don’t know if it would really serve its purpose as such, it would really depend how long you stay in your room for. It didn’t have a pool as far as I saw but all in all we were...
