I was staying at the adjoining Days Inn (yuck, but that's a whole other review). My boyfriend and family were all napping in their rooms and I came down to kill time while waiting for them to get up. The general manager is wonderful, great to talk with personable, knowledgeable about beer. Their Escoozy Saison, currently their only offering from their brewmaster, was quite yummy. The hummus platter was just ok. Was told that the chef's burgers have won many awards. After a couple of beers and the app, I tell my folks and bf back at the hotel about my amazing experience at Beat Culture next door. Weary from the drive earlier from Key West to here, everyone agreed to eat here instead of venturing out in Miami for dinner. This is where this place becomes a letdown. Dinner vibe was quite different from the happy hour time vibe. Earlier the music was classic rock but for dinner older rap/hip hop, which didn't fit at all with the atmosphere nor the type of patrons dining there (mostly middle aged to Baby Boomers). We were told there wasn't anyone who would take our orders at our table. So I had to go up and order everything and bring drinks back. The food was actually brought over to us (so then why couldn't they just take the order from our table in the first place?) I rarely ever order burgers, but remembering what the GM said about the chef's burgers, I ordered one. The meals were quite lackluster. My brother ordered a God of War rice bowl that was served in a ridiculously oversized bowl compared to the portion. It was weird. My burger was overcooked. I've honestly had better burgers at Wendy's. The side salad was a complete afterthought, a few lettuce pieces and sad tomatoes and a little cheese if I am remembering correctly. The Baby Got Mac burger my bf ordered the deep fried mac and cheese was disgusting. Only my parents liked their model C sandwich they ordered. My brother and I played some available board games, which was fun. This place (64 days old at the time I was there) has an uphill battle if it wants to succeed. Though they are not technically affiliated with Days Inn, by default they are as they are located where the hotel lounge would be. With that said, the ambience is not warm and inviting. They are catering to the patrons that they wish would come in (millenials and whatever that newer generation is called) but in actuality they're getting gen x'ers and baby boomers aka the hotel guests. With only 1 BC beer on tap, a so-so menu and mediocre tasting food, they have a few kinks to iron out. My family was too polite to come out and say it, but the unspoken sentiment was "this is the place you were bragging about?" 3 stars only because I really enjoyed my time talking with the optimistic and friendly GM...

From the moment you walk through the doors, you'll be struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place, thanks in no small part to the outstanding service provided by the friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Two standout employees who truly made my visit unforgettable were Brian and Troy whose attention to detail and genuine passion for craft beer and mead was truly impressive. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had an enjoyable experience, answering all of my questions about the brewery's offerings and even providing me with some excellent recommendations.
And let's talk about those offerings for a moment, shall we? The standout beverage for me was the Black Currant Mead - a unique and flavorful libation that was unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The combination of honey and black currant gave it a subtly sweet and tart taste, while the 14% ABV gave it a satisfying kick that lingered on the palate. Whether you're a mead aficionado or simply looking to try something new, I highly recommend giving this drink a try.
But Beat Culture Brewery and Kitchen isn't just about the beverages - the food is equally impressive. The Farmhouse 305 Sandwich, in particular, is a must-try. Made with brisket, pork, sweet ham, this sandwich was bursting with flavor and texture. The combination of savory and sweet, crunchy and creamy, was simply divine.
All in all, my visit to Beat Culture Brewery and Kitchen was an absolute delight, thanks in no small part to the exceptional service provided by Brian, the outstanding Black Currant Mead, and the mouthwatering Farmhouse 305 Sandwich. Whether you're a local looking for a new favorite hangout spot or a visitor looking to experience the best of what Miami has to offer, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreI didn't know what to expect because this brewery was connected to a Day's Inn that's located in the middle of nowhere. And the only way I found out about this brewery was because of Frank and Veronica's UYE.
I was pretty impressed with the facility and spaciousness when I walked in plus guests can actually view the distillery from the see-thru windows. There were people inside the distillery so I'm not sure if they actually offer tours. The 1st floor offers plenty of seating configurations including long picnic style tables and several high tops. There's also an upper floor with more tables.
I ordered several rounds of their in-house beers and they were decent but don't remember the names. I think one of them was called Split Window IPA. For food, I got "Baby Got Mac" which is a beef patty between two crispy mac n' cheese patties topped with crispy smoked bacon, Swiss & cheddar cheese. The idea and execution were great. However, the burger and mac n' cheese patty lacked flavor. It definitely needed salt or some seasoning. Plus I asked for medium rare but my burger was served very rare in the middle so I didn't finish it. I think they just need to tweak the food a little but presentation wise, they're on point especially for a brewery. I also had a bite of Fried Pickles and Chicken Pop Cone and they were both pretty good. Another bonus was the live cover band. My group really enjoy them. They played a mix of 90s pop rock and they got the crowd going.
I had a decent first experience here and from looking at my friends' faces, they also had a great time. And considering the location, the place got pretty busy. Hopefully, we can plan again to come back with...
