In Miami, you get what you pay for. There is an airport shuttle. It leaves every hour from the hotel (during its operating hours). It takes about 15 minutes to get to the airport. There are two designated hotel shuttle pick up/drop off points at the airport. The shuttle is a black sprinter van that says “Ringhill suites” on the side. Yes the “Sp” is cut off. The shuttle driver is fast so you have to have eagle eyes to flag him down. Upon arrival, there was a large line to check in and only one person working. Finally a second person came out to help. There is popcorn made in the lobby in the evenings as well that is complimentary. There is a small bar that serves small food as well. There is only one elevator working. This made it very difficult when the elevators are really only big enough for one family’s worth of luggage or one housekeeping cart. Yes, the housekeeping used these elevators in addition to the guests. Therefore, the elevator waits were long for going up and going down, especially at breakfast time. Sometimes it was over a 20 minute wait for an elevator that was empty enough to fit or going the right direction. In the hallways there are “odorizors”. Yes, to add odor to the hallways, it sprayed out very often and smelled like cologne. Upon arrival to the room, there were burn marks/stains on the carpet, the outlet by the sink was burned and did not work, the hair dryer did not work, most of the outlets were extremely loose, the colors were messed up on the tv, the tv had no tv guide, there were only 3 towel sets in a room that can sleep 5, and there were no extra towels to be found by the pool or by the workout room. There were no employees in the lobby or at the desk to ask about towels, the sign literally said we will be with you shortly on the desk. The beds were very well used and you sink in towards the middle of the bed, and these beds were full size, not queen size. Our room actually had a nice view of the lagoon and a table with four chairs. There was also a desk, and a counter with a coffee machine, and a mini fridge. There was a pull out sofa and coffee table. Therefore there was a decent amount of room to spread out. The sink is outside the bathroom with the toilet and shower. The inside of the bathroom was all rusted and warped from the humidity in the shower. There was also a small closet near the sink as well. The type of people that are staying here are lots of families with kids, whole sports teams of kids, and lots of people going on cruises. Just keep this in mind when thinking about people you will run into in the lobby, hallway, elevator, and breakfast. Breakfast is complimentary, however it is absolute mayhem. There is wall to wall people everywhere, people are grabbing things like crazy, kids are spilling things everywhere. The whole thing is completely unmonitored by both parents and hotel workers. Kids are coughing and sneezing on the buffet items, things are out of stock and not replaced. There is a small outdoor area to sit which is on the lagoon which is nice. Otherwise every table in the lobby and breakfast area was taken up. There were some tables by the pool area, but it was very windy. The only thing we felt safe doing was getting cereal from the dispenser since nobody could contaminate that, and covering it with another bowl and taking the stairs up to the room with our breakfast. After taking the stairs it smelled like someone had smoked something green in the stairwell. We went out to eat the first night and the next morning we took an Uber to the port and had no problems with Ubers to and from this location. Overall this hotel was very well used and very run down. You can see all the areas of improvement. We will not be staying here again, and will instead stay somewhere closer to the port of Miami and pay a little more. If you stay here, beware of what you pay for what you get and plan not to stay more than...

At check in the man who was helping us looked completely disheveled and he basically refused to speak to me or acknowledge my presence. The reservation was under my friends name and he wanted mine on there too just incase there were any issues. The guy (I believe his name was Jesse) needed to add my name to the reservation and instead of asking me my name he asked my male friend. Then he asked my friend for a copy of my ID...why not just ask me for my ID? When I let him know I had my ID on the counter for him he dismissed me. Sir we need her ID...what is her name....dude seriously? You couldn't say Miss what is YOUR name or may I see YOUR ID?
When we went to pay he asked if we were using the card on file, we said no we would be using mine. Once again I was ignored and Jesse asked for my friend to present my card. Unbelievable! It wasn't like I wandered off and left my friend with my ID and card so Jesse couldn't ask me himself. It felt like if I wasn't with a man I probably wouldn't have been checked into a room!
Friend is a Marriott VIP and was never asked/informed that he would get his bonus points/food and beverage credits. Getting a late check out seemed like ot was going to be the end of the world. I would have been fine without it (my flight was much later in the day than his)...but it was almost like we were asking too much to see if it was a possibility. We came back later to arrange that as we just wanted to get to our room.
It sucked that the pool was out of order but it was probably for the best considering.
Most of the staff was too busy on their phones to assist with anything. I asked a male bartender for a fork and he was pretty much like go find one in the breakfast area that was closed off. I didn't mind getting it myself but he didn't even bother to look up from his phone .
As I was getting ready to pack my things and go I realized I lost an earring in the sheets and stripped the bed to find it only to find that the sheets had not been changed prior to our arrival. There were used contact lenses in the bed (must have been lower towards the foot of the bed as we didn't see/feel them while sleeping) and shifted once I took the upper layers off.
I took pictures and was absolutely disgusted! Now I question if anything in the room was actually cleaned!
The lovely woman Cornetta (I hope I got her name right) was the best part of this stay. She was kind, compassionate truly just wonderful. She was professional from the second I walked up to yhe desk to the time my shuttle left for the airport! She took my statement and information to pass along to the manager who was not in at the time of my departure.
I would never this place to anyone. If I could give 0...
