We were placed in room 131. There should not be a room back in this corner. It is the only room way back there, right next to the "dog poop door", the entry to the pool and and a back exit to the cars. This door slams shut very loudly. I was awoken early in the morning by the slamming of this door and then this continued on and on and on, as this is a high traffic door. I tried to fall back to sleep to no avail, as the door would loudly slam shut again. I always bring a sound machine when I travel, as this usually drownds any noise in hotels. Even with my sound machine next to my head and the air conditioner on, they were no match for the slamming. I went to talk to the front desk and as I started to tell them about the door and constant banging the first thing he said to me was, " I just came in", which had nothing to do with my situation and was an unprofessional thing to say. Unfortunately, I was told that there were no other rooms to move me to, as I was booked to spend a second night and would have to stay there in that room again.

Needs updated. Carpet and bedspread need replaced. Seating in breakfast area also needs replaced- would not sit on any of the seating options. Elevator is tiny. Stairwells have no air and don't appear clean either. No hooks in room or bathroom for hanging items. Need to add a vanity mirror at desk. Only mirror for getting ready is in the bathroom. Pool was working and appeared clean. Room was on 2nd floor right next to railroad tracks. Heard it go through twice during the night. Would not stay here again.

This is the Motel 6 of the 80’s when they reined supreme at quality rooms at very very reasonable prices. My room was neat, tidy, and exactly what you need and expect from a room less than 100.00. Oh and free HBO, remember those signs?! Highly recommend this hotel, and also head south into Norwalk for dinner, as only 5miles away and very very good options. Right off the turnpike, but yes you do get a train or two at night, though that sound initially wakes you but then soothes you back to sleep.

Beds are hard. Bathrooms outdated. Carpet not swept. I always lift mattresses, pull sheets down, look in pillows, all were very clean!|Brkfst cld hv been better, they had eggs & sausage patties but no biscuits or gravy or croissants to put sausage on. No pool open but they sd we cld go down the street to sister hotel (who wants to do that, what an inconvenience). Our 1st room smelled like someone had a smoking fest in it then sprayed febreeze so I went to front desk & asked for a different room, so much better smelling. Luke at the front desk was exceptional, helpful & most courteous. He shld be promoted to Mngr. The blonde girl the next morning at the desk complete opposite, seemed as if she was dazed and confused. We were here May 29-30, normally we stay at the one in Port Clinton however this was Memorial Day Wknd & that one had no vacancy so we ended up at this one in Milan. The one in Port Clinton has softer beds, up to date bathrooms, swept carpets, open indoor pool, very nice breakfast and super clean! The current mngr here needs to perform better, there is no reason the pool shldnt hv been open by Memorial Day Wknd, breakfast needs improvement and the room that smelled horribly like smoke should have been addressed by room service & mngt shld be spot checking rooms weekly. Mngt shld be having conversation with housekeeping advising them if they come across smoke smelling rooms as they are cleaning what to do in that instance. There is no excuse for a guest to walk into a room that smells that badly from smoke and then to hv a maid/housekeeper just spray something to hide the smell is ridiculous and pure laziness. I hv housekeeping experience in a cpl of nice hotels it’s not a hard job to keep a clean room. Overall a nice hotel just needs good management which at this time doesn’t exist.|Again, Luke is a terrific asset to this company and I hope the owner(s) recognize that!! (He knows...

I had an okay experience at this hotel. First of all it's a convenient location off of hwy 90. The main problem I had though was just getting a good night's rest. I asked for a room in a quiet portion of the hotel (I'm a light sleeper), unfortunately they put me at the end of the hallway, next to the stairwell door that it constantly being opened and closed, as well as the hospitality closet. It was loud, I kept constantly getting woken up by people going down the stairwell, and that's with me sleeping with a noise machine and earplugs. On top of that there is noisy train line right outside the hotel.

Cosmetically it's one of the nicer choice hotels that I've stayed at, but I would tell the hotel managers that instead of spending money on cosmetic changes, you should instead spend money on insuring that your guests get a good night's rest. Soundproof the doors in each room, and the gap under the door, soundproof your windows, walls and floors, and put soft closes on your stairwell doors. Now I need to drive into a snow storm on only half a night's sleep.

The people were a mix. The guy who took my reservation over the phone kept repeating himself, kept insisting that my rate was locked in, asking me for an email, and telling me that I now have a free membership. I don't need all that.... just reserve my room so I can get back on the road. A hotel reservation should take a few minutes, not 15. The lady at the desk when I came in at midnight was very sweet and kind.

I won't be back. Fix your noise issues, what's the point of a hotel if you can hear everything, and you can't...

My recent stay at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Sandusky South, Ohio, was nothing short of exceptional. After having some medical issues while out-of-state, we were in a bit of a bind when we had to vacate our Airbnb early, ahead of our scheduled check-in time. With inclimate weather brewing outside, I called the hotel, and the front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, allowing us to check in early without any issue. Their kindness and understanding in this stressful situation made all the difference.

The hotel itself is impeccably clean and well-maintained. Every area, from the lobby to our room, was spotless, and the staff’s warmth and professionalism truly stood out. It’s rare to encounter such attentive and friendly service, but the team at this Radisson location excels in making you feel welcome and well-cared for.

We also experienced an additional act of kindness when I accidentally left my jacket behind. The hotel staff immediately contacted us to inform us of the oversight and offered to assist with shipping it back to us, a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot during an already overwhelming time.

In short, my stay at Country Inn & Suites was more than just a place to rest—it was a bright spot during a difficult period. The level of customer service, the clean and comfortable accommodations, and the generosity and care of the staff have left a lasting impression on me. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning...
