TL;DR This gets 1 star because of the horrible customer service and their lack of presence in areas all hotels should be and usually are more attentive to, the poor quality of the provisions, the safety hazards and for the shady policies that will overcharge you even if you've prepaid your stay.
I've stayed at this hotel on 4 separate occasions and this is the first time it has been incredibly below acceptable standards. None of my prior stays were like this. They all had at least the minimal comfort standards. The rooms had a lot of issues. Beds were standard and not really any issue there. The toilet paper however, is see through and mostly shredded. Some of the outlets were shorted and did not work and most likely dangerous. The door handle was broken and incredibly difficult to open. Tub is dangerously slippery when wet. Wifi is almost non-existent. It's faster for me to tether my internet off my phone which only has 2 bars in this location. The breakfast was out of almost everything 40min before breakfast was over. Nothing else was provided to drink besides coffee (No one in my party drinks coffee). The service is awful. When I came in no one was even anywhere near the front desk. A housekeeper had to run and get them. During breakfast exact same thing. No one around at all for the 20min I was out there. (front desk overlooks the breakfast area.) Booked through third party and prepaid for 3 nights. When I checked in, they charged me an extra $15 a night per their policy for having a 3rd person in a double queen bedroom even though when I booked, I included 3 adults for the stay. It seems they have new management since the last time I stayed here about 3 months ago. The quality has gone down tremendously since my last stay. My name is Seth Abbott and we stayed in room 106 for any who it...
Read moreAVOID AT ALL COSTS!! SCAM!!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL customer service. Inquired about weekly or monthly rates and they initially said they don’t do that. Spoke with the owner, Kiran Patel and he gave the front desk an override code to get me a weekly rate and I book for a week. Sounded great. 2 days before I arrive, I get a call telling me that they cannot honour my reservation. When I get into town on Friday, I go to the hotel just to talk in person and see what is going on. Lacey at the front desk (an AMAZING person and should run the entire hotel) gets me booked in for 10 days at the original weekly rate, starting on Sunday (they were full on the weekend).
Somehow Lacey got this done in no time when the owner himself said that the computer system (best western) would not allow them to do this and that’s why he couldn’t honour it. Complete lie. Just changed his mind in rates.
The next day I get a call from Amanda (an obnoxious, clueless, rude, and obtuse individual) telling me that the hotel will not honour my reservation, AGAIN!! I ask why and am told that they will not allow me to pay a weekly rate for 10 days (by the way I was planning on staying 30 days!!) when they could be charging $289/night on the weekends. Terrible business. Spent nearly 2 weeks in this hotel prior to this as well. The owner, Kiran Patel and Amanda have to be the most clueless and backward people in the hospitality industry. These two need a lesson in customer service...
Read more4OCT.2021 This is my first time here and 2nd time staying in a BW. I was with a friend and their family who are from Mineral Wells (currently they live in Oceanside, California). Location, rooms, price, and staff were great. The receptionist was friendly and the lobby was clean, modern decor, and welcoming. The breakfast was ok, I’ve had better. There were a decent amount of selections to choose from. The rooms smell so good every-time you walk in & out of them. Our beds were very comfy and clean, the decorations on the bedroom walls were a lot more up to date than they were on the websites booking page which was a nice surprise. I liked that our room windows were operable to open so we could let in fresh air.. There is a small 24hr key-card-accessible side entry so you don’t have to see or interact with anyone each time you have to go down to get something from your car. There are drink and snack vending machines downstairs by the elevator, there’s also a non emergency non prescription med dispenser. On the second floor there are 2 washers and 2 dryers, a laundry soap dispenser, and a laundry folding table all next to the elevator. The pool was wonderful and clean. The same for the exercise room. Breakfast is from 6-9am and they offer a pretty big variety of food and drinks, you make your own fresh waffles. Overall our stay here...
