Dakota Inn — Hotel in Minot

These people dont even let you talk on the phone at night. No joke the walls are so thin that people complain about voices. I was simply on the phone, and you know how it goes...you start talking and you get into the conversation and laughing or whatever the case is, and you hear a knock on the door. They come and threaten you about terminating your month long up-front pay. No money back just get out or they call the cops. I mean come on, im paying for the service and they come to my door at 12:30am and tell me to go talk in the lobby if I need to be on the phone. What kind of service is that??? Wifi drops every 10 minutes so if you are business forget about working out of this place, If you want privacy and people not bothering you in the middle of the night when you are in a conversation, dont bother here. They complain about everything once you pay the month. Trust me, all oil field and construction workers out there, you know we are fam. These people aint worth your money. Get a better place for a couple a hundred more a month. We come so far and for so long, to have some dum dude complaining about how we talk on the phone to our significant other. It just makes no sense. Power to the pipeline and the all of us roughnecks! Good night yall and pass on this please!

P.S. The rooms have no a/c, just simple crappy heater system that takes forever to heat up. Im talking about not even like regular hotels that have big...

I am soooo disappointed in this motel. It's actually ironic because I left a 4 star review a month ago but after how I was treated last night - I wouldn't even give them one star!!

So last night I got here, and I was waiting in front of the bar, (which is actually connected to the motel), waiting for my friend to get there so we could get our room. 15 minutes later, I'm approached by the female employee asking me if I need something. I said "oh no, thank you, I'm fine." To which she replied "well you need to leave the property." I said "excuse me???" She then says "he doesn't like people hanging around who aren't guests." I told her "well tell HIM that I'm a loyal customer who has stayed here many times and I'm waiting on a friend to get a room tonight." She then said "I don't even know who you are". I then repeated my last statement & walked away. I waited about 2 more minutes for my friend & thought to myself "SCREW this RUDE-A** establishment I'll take my money elsewhere!" I literally walked to another motel so that I wasn't any longer a "nuisance" (although I'm pretty sure I'M the one that got disrespected here!). To the lady who was ever so courteous to me I say this - get a refresher course on hospitality, and please for God sake change your hairstyle. Turd roll bangs were NEVER a good look. I'll be calling the manager tomorrow to get this SUPER LOVELY & PROFESSIONAL...

This manager of this hotel was absolutely absurdly rude and inconsiderate of my client who is mentally handicapped who cannot really stand up for himself, he had gotten a room and we checked it out and he decided that he did not like it and so we went to get a refund on the room and when I tried to speak for my friend the manager rudely cut me off completely undermining my job and we ended up leaving without getting a refund on the room and didn't go back to the room or the hotel and so far for this I do not recommend this hotel to anyone in the country I was so at a loss for words they definitely deserve this horrible review as they did not respect the fact that I was there to help my friend get situated and have a comfortable place to stay for the night if I could give it zero stars all across the board I would don't go to this hotel if you don't like being bullied and pretty much robbed...
