Hobby Lobby — Local services in Minot

I SO love Hobby Lobby! They have many necessary supplies for Crafters, Bakers, Decorators, Painters, Moms, Dads, Kids and Me. Holidays are special events here with all the big and small trappings to inspire you. Hobby Lobby offers many different categories of import goods that you don't see as normal fare in most other stores. They also do custom framing. The prices are decent and there is always a coupon for 40% off one regular priced item available online and in the local paper. A couple isles are dedicated to mostly off-season items for sale at a 60% to 80% discount. The staff is not in your face at all, and are friendly and helpful. The store is open typical department store hours except they are closed on Sundays. I like this about Hobby Lobby. It is good to see them willing to sacrifice profit to uphold the religious beliefs of their founder. If they have a shortfall - to me it is the amount of time and $$ I spend there! Visit this store. This shopping in this store is great !!

My complaint stems towards a Manager who has a very bad attitude. We are RV travelers and many stores allow RVs to park overnight in their lots.

Friday night, July 21st, 2023 @ 9:10 PM ~ She pounded on our door after she closed up the store and told us we could not stay. Even though I called two days earlier and got permission from another Manager. I explain that point, and her tone was rude and threatening to the point we felt she was going to call the police. (We moved over to Menards)

I called the next day to get her name~ Angela. In 5 yrs of traveling, (and occasionally parking at Hobby Lobby stores), we’ve never had this kind of treatment.

Found out the next day…. YES, we are allowed to park overnight on the outside perimeters.

Caution to RV’rs~ Make sure to get the name...

I love how dependable Hobby Lobby is - On Christmas Eve my husband and I found a plain Tshirt, glass bottles, and some leather scraps for last minute gifts. The prices were very decent, especially with a 40% off coupon we found online. I also love the friendliness and helpfulness of the store clerks. I do have two areas for improvement though. First, we waited in the checkout line for over 15 minutes! It was the day before Christmas though, so we just took it in stride. Also, I was looking for inkjet printable iron on sheets, but researched the brand sold at Hobby Lobby (Transfer Magic) and it had many horrible reviews. We ended up going to a different store to get the Avery brand that had much better reviews for the same...
