Economy Inn — Hotel in Monroe

Clean place. The place used to be an apartment complex. Everything has been retrofitted to accomodate a hotel stay. The owners live and work on the property. The owner is extra vigilant of who comes in and out of the lot. Housekeeping goes out of their way to leave a clean room. However, they will leave every door open during housekeeping hours usually 11am to 1pm. During this time, your belongings are literally exposed to anyone walking by, plus the AC is shut off everyday so expect an uncomforting welcome each time you get home from work. The owner will moan and groan if you lose your key or ask for toilettries. Blue collar folks are reserved in the latter part of the property. Me and my grandson was traveling stop to get some rest got the room went in it was very dirty beds and all including bathroom called desk got some more linens they were dirty as well I had my own cleaning supplies and clean the room my self cause it was late and we were tired should have gotten my money back front desk was not too friendly if you expect people to pay for a room go behind your housekeeper your rooms are dirty if you pay them more you would not have this problem don't make since y'all make good money and dont want to pay good but want your employers to work hard for nothing get it together or do it yourself and keep it clean never again and you wonder why people go to other hotels because they clean and make sure their clean...

Very clean. Looks like it was recently renovated. Granite countertops. Walls and floors looked great. No carpet, which we love. Rooms aren't very spacious and have just the minimum necessary. Excellent place at a great value if you don't need many amenities. They don't offer nor advertise non-smoking rooms, which made me hesitate to book online. However, the room didn't smell like smoke. An ash tray was provided :(( The lady said that they don't restrict the smoking because people are going to smoke in the rooms anyway... don't expect coffee. The lobby is not open. They use a window to serve customers. There is a Walmart very close. I would return...
