My friend and I went there to eat on 6/1/2024. We asked for a window table a d was told by the host he will check. He came back a d said no window seats were available despite the fact several were open. I assumed maybe they were reserved, but when we left about 2 hours later window seats were still available. Only Caucasians were seated at the window seats during the period of time we were there. On my way out, I saw the same host and asked him why my friend and I did not get seated at a window seat and why he told us their were none available. His answer was not that some had reservations, he actually told me it was not him. I spoke with the owner, Sam who said they have many reservations on Sat, which did not explain the open tables when we left and the fact his worker lied. I offered to come identify him so the gentlemen can have repercussions, but he was not interested and said he would speak to the entire establishment, which does not eliminate the issue. Furthermore, when I came out my vehicle had been hit and a note with the time it was hit and the driver's tag number was left for me stating the color , make, model and time of the hit and run. My friend contacted the Monroe Police Dept to come out. When I got the police report I noticed their are two different tag numbers on the report, which is causing problems with identifying the correct driver. Of course, the officer could not locate the driver that hit my vehicle at 6:20 pm on June 1, 2024. The ins company says their driver denies hitting the vehicle, yet they sent me to get an estimate and I later find out that photos of my entire vehicle and pictures of me were also taken. I found this out when I spoke with a person that works at that auto shop when calling to find out if the estimate was sent over, he said no and proceeded to advise their were phots taken of me also. I asked the owner if they have surveillance footage and/or receipts for that time period that gives the exact time of 6:20 pm on 6/1/2024 my vehicle was hit. He was unconcerned and told me to check back next week. The young lady that answered the phone also said they have several complaints of this nature. Please be careful if you are a person of color visiting this establishment.
It is never too late to make a complaint. The below comment shows Waterfront Grill's lack of customer service and willingness to help locate the vehicle that is responsible for the hit and run. The insurance company suggested as of last Thursday looking at surveillance from your restaurant, so no, a month is not too late. This is coming from an owner whose host lied about who he was to avoid my question about a window seat. The food was also subpar and overpriced. I have every right to post my review and request assistance and an owner of a restaurant had no right to tell me the timing I...
Read moreDefinitely not worth the $108 plus gratuity spent on two entrees, an appetizer and two sweet teas. The ambiance was nice. Always has been but I can remember the food being so, so much better years ago. Oysters Weemo. The best thing about those was the broth in the dish with the bread that came with it. I couldn’t really taste oyster at all in the oysters themselves, just the crust of cheese, breadcrumbs an onions or whatever it was in one giant piece on top hiding the oysters and practically gluing them all together in one big lump of soggy mess. Catfish Desiard, same thing. It had some flavor though but still a substandard and soggy, non flakey and not delicious white filet of catfish with a hard crust of some kind over the top. It was like muddy, dark mushy catfish bellies with the Weemo crust on them and a shrimp or two. The crust was so hard that trying to cut everything with a fork resulted in basically a plate full of mashed mess. My steak? Well the stuffed potato that came with it was tasty but tiny. And it was dry as a bone as if it had been sitting in an oven for hours. My steak ? Tender and juicy but not much flavor at all. I ordered it rare and it came rare so that is a positive. It was alright but not noteworthy at all. I’ve had far better steaks and a far better price at franchise restaurants. The waiter acted as if he was afraid of his own shadow and mumbled the entire time. I’m sure Waterfront is owned by good people so this is no insult to them. But the quality of the food there has declined greatly since I last ate there a few years or so ago. For that price, just about the hardest critic ought to go away satisfied. And I am probably the least picky eater out there. Good...
Read moreI ordered the oyster weemo and it was not what I expected it had alot of water in it and it was kind of soggy, I asked my waitress if I could send it back and she politely took it back wit no problems. Me and my mom continued to eat, about 10 minutes later a manager lady came to my table and asked what was wrong with the oysters and I let her know the same thing, she then said well that’s what was on the Description and that it’s a $20 dish we can’t take that loss. Now I’m like what are you saying? She already took the dish but if it’s a big deal I can pay for it and if you don’t want to take losses learn how to cook better, she then mumbled under her voice about calling the police. That’s when i got extremely offended because I can’t to this day understand how a police officer could have any input on this situation. So I paid for the dish and I then asked for it back since I paid for it and they told me it had been thrown away. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant do not go here! My waitress Carolina was great but...
