A tale from Memorial Day to Labor Day….with a very patient salesperson….
We didn't initially set out to buy a Tempur-Pedic bed. We were looking for a new mattress, specifically a firm one. After spotting Mattress Firm's Memorial Day sale online, we decided to visit the Monterey Park store. Jason, our sales associate, approached us and showed us some firm mattresses in the sale section. However, I couldn't make up my mind. Our curiosity got the better of us when we saw the Tempur-Pedic beds on the other side of the store, so we walked over to try them out. Jason's thorough explanation of the Tempur-Pedic bed's construction, functions, and benefits piqued our interest. Although it was more expensive, the great warranty and potential 30-year lifespan were very significant. The 72-month interest-free payment plan was a bonus. We ended up purchasing the ProAdapt Firm, despite Jason recommending the medium for better support.
After sleeping on the firm bed for two days, I found it too stiff and contacted Jason to exchange it. I opted for the LuxeAdapt Medium Hybrid with coils, which Jason helped facilitate without any issues. He even waived the restocking fee. I love the medium hybrid, but my partner was concerned that I hadn't waited for the 30-day break-in period.
We also purchased the adjustable base, but after nearly four months, we couldn't agree on the bed position. My partner suggested a split bed, so I contacted Jason again. He quickly responded and obtained approval for a second exchange, which is typically not allowed. After discussing the new model with Jason , we finalized the exchange at the store. We ended up with the LuxeAdapt King split, with my partner choosing the firm model and me opting for the medium hybrid. We upgraded to the Smart base model to utilize its features for tracking sleep patterns and improving our sleep. Luckily, we caught the Labor Day sale and saved some money on the bed bases, and the cost difference qualified for another 72-monty interest-free financing!
At the end of the day, I'm extremely grateful we worked with Jason. He's knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly responsive – even answering texts on his days off. Jason truly cares about meeting his clients' needs and goes above and beyond to ensure they get exactly what they want. Read moreI had a wonderful five-star experience at this mattress firm location. I walked in with preapproval from Progressive Leasing for $1100. I had my Eye set on a Purple Mattress as I have been reviewing their products lately and was very impressed by them. I walked in and I informed the associate that assisted me of this and she proceeded to show me their collection of purple mattresses and what was available. My initial decision was to purchase the purple mattress. However, upon learning that my interest rate would be ridiculously high if not paid off within three months I then considered a different mattress at a more modest price. In the end I wound up purchasing a memory foam mattress of the size that I wanted and even added pillows blankets and mattress covers. They are running a promotion where they are giving the adjustable base away for free but I elected for the flat metal frame as I live downtown in a very old building and I’m concerned about pests. (adjustable frame had wood components and pests tend to gravitate to wood furniture as opposed to metal furniture)
So I did not walk out with the mattress I wanted but I walked out with a good one and one that I was satisfied with nonetheless. I’m awaiting delivery, it’s supposed to arrive within a few weeks unfortunately the pillows, sheets and mattress protector are on back order and are not expected to arrive until around Christmas. (99.9% of this is due to the current situation with COVID-19.) If my final decision was for the purple mattress I would’ve completely maxed out my allotted financial limit and not been able to take advantage of the sheets pillows and mattress cover. Instead I made a decision that I believe was more financially responsible. I intend on making payments of approximately $275 a month for three months and then owning my new mattress, base, sheets, pillows and mattress cover out right. In Regards to the customer service and the quality of product; I was extremely pleased and would highly recommend this mattress firm store to any friend or family member. My recommendation is to start off on their website, apply for their progressive leasing or their line of credit and if qualified go into the store in person and deal directly with one of their associates. Read moreMy husband and I visited this establishment for the 1st time. We walked in and were greeted by the Assistant Manager Jess. He asked us what we would be interested in, we mentioned we were just looking. He then showed us mattresses that were very expensive, he saw the look on my face. He then told us that if we weren't going to purchase anything then he would have to ask us to leave, because of the Covid-19. We looked in the show room and their were 3 people in there. Then Jason came back with drinks from his break and Jess pawned us off on him, (I guess he figured he didn't want to wasted his time on us). Jason was very nice, he showed us mattresses that were in our budget. He checked and they couldn't be delivered till 6/4, we mentioned we needed them sooner. He went back to his desk to find us something else, but a previous customer who was a regular caught his attention and he started to help her, which was okay, but after 15-20 min, we were hoping maybe Jess could finish helping us, but he was too busy walking around doing nothing and sitting at his desk again doing nothing, he saw us waiting and never came over to help. That infuriated my husband and I so we decided to leave. Before we left I spoke to Jess, and mentioned that his performance as an Assistant Manager was very disappointing! We were ready to buy the mattresses, and he knew it, but he didn't care about making a sale! I mentioned to him that I am a Manager and customer service is always #1! We also found out the Manager of the store was there the whole time and never approached us, I'm sure he heard everything that went on!
