I usually have no issues with stays at your chain but this particular property was not so great.
When we arrived, I showed the front desk my daughters service dog card and was told they would add a dog onto the room but there would not be an extra charge. I was charged $50 for a pet.
the handicapped room we were given had a chair in it that was only about an inch wider than the other furniture but when you have a wheelchair that extra inch makes it hard to get around.
The chair in question had a really big brown stain on it that looked super suspicious. Eww really eww. Throw it out
the roll in shower had a shower chair in it but also had a second shower chair in it so that there was about 12 inches not covered by shower chair. To use the shower we needed to remove one off the chairs. Why? its a shower not a shower chair storage area
When I asked the front desk for an extra towel (a sign announcing reduced employees in the house keeping said to ask there) I was sent over to the house cleaning staff in my hall. I asked them and they told me I could not have an extra towel. So back to the front desk so someone from there could come back and get the towel while one of the clean staff scowled at her and she had to thank them 3 times. Why? it was a towel request in a hotel & why were they so unfriendly to their own coworker for something not so out of the ordinary?
The handicap curb closest to our hallway exit was blocked by a truck driven by another hotel staff members private vehicle. Great
Yeah so it seems the front desk needs someone to back
them up (they seemed frustrated) on getting housekeeping to just do the basics, you might want to pay more for housekeeping if you can't get people, ADA does not mean storage, stained furniture should be removed & service animals are not normally charged as pets.
the price was about $100/day more than a roomier suite in Elizabethtown KY as well, which I guess was because of it's proximity to the solar eclipse but honestly I would expect to at least get the same level of excellence as any other holiday in express and suites.
The woman who arranged breakfast, possibly by herself, did a wonderful job. She was in the breakfast area making sure food was available, she was friendly, and constantly cleaning. She deserves some recognition and maybe...

Help I needed: Front desk helped with getting quarters for washer and dryer for laundry. Sign said they had supplies in the Suite shop, but they did not. Took lots of quarters to buy soap also. They barely had enough. Staff was very accommodating with helping me add a room to my stay. They told me to go back online and reserve a room. Why can’t they reserve me one ? I’m standing right there in front of them. Wi-fi worked great. Issues: Pets. A lot of barking at all hours. Pets coming and going and whining. The elevator reeked of pet smells. It was very evident when you walked into the hotel that it had that wet dog smell. This hotel was just loud. Simple. No etiquette of quiet hours or walking to your room being quiet or generally talking in an ‘inside voice” to be honest. I didn’t partake in breakfast, but did walk over there on 1 morning. One person standing in line. Nobody else- I would consider this slow, I walked up and asked for a glass of milk and there was 1 worker who then left the breakfast area and said she had to go. So I turned and was just going to get some coffee. She had just gone to put more coffee creamer out. There was only 1 canister of coffee remaining. I walked back to the breakfast area. She never helped me. It was way before closing time. She made a comment she was just too busy. I’m not a needy guest and keep to myself. I never complained about all the noise or all the dogs barking. I get that people want to travel with Pets, but can there be a compromise with separating the animal people from the non animal people? Those with allergies would have had a bad time. Those that needed some real downtime, peace, rest didn’t get it. I’m a healthcare provider at the hospital in this town. I was staying there due to the weather, so I could be at the hospital available
to help care for patients. Rest and relaxation was what we need during this most stressful time. Not dogs barking and people being loud at all hours. Be...
Read moreIssues from the beginning! The biggest issue was the way we were handled upon letting an employee then the manager know we had extended our stay on the app. We were willing to let the other issues go but the way we were treated was inexcusable! Their system was down so even though we had a confirmed extended reservation we were told we would not be able to get back in our room. I stated that we had not even checked out, was told we were basically already checked out and the only ones allowed to check in were on a printout that I was shown. I asked what we were to do? Go get our things and just go? The manager said yes. She was way over her head and had no clue what to do. This was after being treated with indifference upon check in then I had cut myself shaving and not realized until the next morning when I saw blood on the sheets. I removed said sheets and let (unknown at the time) the manager know and that we would need clean sheets etc. I apologized and stated I wanted to inform them since it involved blood she thanked be and said they would handle it. This was around 7 am. I returned with my grandson around 7 pm to the same sheets where I had left them. I went to the front desk to let them know and was told my room was not on the list to clean. I stated we would need the bed made and was told I could bring them the sheets and they would give me some and I’d need to make it myself. No apologies or anything. I stated that my grandson and I were going to change, go to the pool so they could tend to it. The gentleman actually sighed and then agreed! Not one employee was courteous! I understand that most establishments are short staffed to we try to be polite and grateful for their service but this establishment was the worst we have experienced and we travel a lot! Then when I called IHG to inform them we kept being disconnected I would ask for a return call each time and was told “I’ll try.” After five attempts I gave up. What’s the use of being loyal to a company that does not...
