The crew that is there late at night are wonderful. After about 2 am I can't speak for the rest of the staff because THEY ARE NEVER PRESENT!!!!!!! The posted drive thru hours clearly state 24 hours and the store lobby hours clearly state they open at 6 am but......if you go to this location at 6, 7 or 8 am on any morning the lights are on, employee cars are in the parking lot but the doors to the lobby are locked and there is no answer on the drive thru speaker despite the menu lights being on. Even if you sit there and holler 'Hello' repeatedly you still get NO answer. This morning the young lady on the headset was kind enough to actually acknowledge that I was sitting in the drive thru and she was sweet enough to apologize and inform me that the store was closed and she wasn't sure what time they would be opening because they were waiting for their cook. If that is the reason I have come to this store on MULTIPLE occasions when they are supposed to be open only to have to find somewhere else to get something to eat, that is ridiculous. I have witnessed elderly customers pulling into the parking lot with their newspaper in hand at 7:30 a.m. and walking to the doors to go inside and enjoy a cup of coffee only to pull on locked doors.....which effectively lets me know I will not get a response in a drive thru with hours posted that say "Open 24 hours" and that is asinine. If 2 young men can run that store efficiently in the middle of the night, then why is the manager who is opening the store not able to run a grill until the cook gets there? Why are employees there and on the clock with the store closed down until Lord knows what time? There's no money being made during certain hours while employees are there CLOCKED in and it's certainly not because customers are not coming in, they are coming but the store is not operating. If this was a one or two time situation it wouldn't be an issue but this is CONSISTENT. If the operating hours are not what is POSTED on the store windows then those hours need to be updated, if the problem is the cook then train someone like the MANAGER who is responsible for operating the store to run the grill so that there is revenue being made while there are employees...
Read moreI have lived in Mount Pleasant most of my life and I can honestly say that our Burger King has gone downhill over the past five years or so. When Billy Means, and Steve Markovitch were the managers of this location the store put out exceptionally good Whoppers, French Fries, Chicken Nuggets, and great Breakfast items. Fries Management, a franchise company out of the Dallas area took over this location several years ago and the food, service, and help is horrible. I will go through the drive thru different times a day and the chicken nuggets, french fries, and sandwiches all taste old and soggy. Even if i request that my chicken nuggets be cooked hot and fresh in the cooking oil, I still on several occasions have gotten nasty food. The burgers are not very good or fresh. I always have to wait in the drive thru line for more than 15 minutes most of the times. Even if it is midnight, expect to wait at least 15 minutes. They never have the first window open so you can pay the cashier at the first window, then pick your order up at the second window. Overall I do not go to this location anymore. I understand that it is just fast food, but we all work hard for our money and we want a decent meal wherever we choose to eat when we go out to eat. Our food should be hot and fresh every time. I have worked in the restaurant business for more than years and know how to run an establishment. If you are traveling and come to this Burger King AVOID IT!!!!! GO TO...
Read moreI wasn't gonna post a review but I just read their reviews and they are bad. Lol! So I guess I'll post one too on my bad experience. I went to the drive through and there was a vehicle in front of me. They were there for several minutes. I dint think they ever ordered. They finally pulled up and I went to the drive through and the mic was not working. No one would answer. After a couple of minutes, I pulled up to order at the window. The vehicle in front of me had done ordered and they were there almost 10 minutes before they got their food. I've been there about 15 minutes already. This is where it gets good. I pulled up to the window and I tell the young lady I need to place an order and tell her what I want. She asked me if I ordered at the drive through. I said no becuase the drive through wasn't working. She said I had to drive back around, get back in line, and place my order. I looked in my rear view and I could see two cars behind me. Its not my fault their equipment wasn't working but yet they wanted me to start over and wait another 10 to 20 minutes. Nope, not me! I went ahead and left! I dont know if I'll ever go there again after this experience....
