Was really very excited to try out this “microtel.” Perfect location. A stone’s throw from Pictured Rocks, 5 minutes to downtown, and less than an hour from Marquette or Grand Marais. Check-in/out was super easy and convenient. Super clean, but very small. Definition microtel. It’s just the beds & a built-in (with mini fridge, microwave, and a shelf for your luggage). There is no additional indoor seating in the room or a table/desk. The bathroom was a decent size, as was the stand-up shower stall. The shower water pressure kind of sucked and my elbow kept hitting the handle while showering. I was also surprised to see peeling wallpaper in the bathroom since it’s so recently renovated. There is a common room with a nice sized kitchen table, extra toiletries/towels, toaster, coffee pot, games, etc. I wish there was maybe a fire pit and/or grill with grilling utensils on the premises. I thought the price was a little steep per night, but again it’s prime location. Jess was a good host and overall operates a decent little motel. Worth a stay.

What a gem! So close to everything in town. After exploring the town and hiking all day, this place was such a clean, peaceful place to land for the night. It's modern, minimalistic but has all the essentials you need. The bed was so comfortable (especially the linens), and the room was well decorated. The bathroom was huge, and I loved the wallpaper they added near the sink. We loved having access to the mini-fridge, TV and community room. I can't say enough positive things about this place, it was just such a great, clean, comfy stay. Can't wait to stay here again!

This place was great! Everything is new - including the walk-in, fully tiled shower. The beds were comfortable. The Keurig was a nice touch. They do have a standard coffee maker and toaster in the communal space (where you would normally check in) as well as extra towels, shampoo, etc. It's all self service, so the only thing lacking is a sense of hospitality that you get from other small motels, but if you're used to airbnb this motel will suit you just fine. Love having the car right outside the door and the location is great.

Fantastic. Simple. Affordable. Comfortable. Will definitely be back many times!

Details for people who care… easy access to town and hiking trails easy, straightforward booking through their site quick and kind response on Google messaging extremely comfortable beds (very nice after a long day of hiking!) minimal amenities without missing any essentials (truly impressive) management accessible, but not overbearing (didn’t need anything during our stay, but texted the number when we left as a courtesy and got a thank you reply) a community room for more space and supplies for longer stays or just to connect with a community very affordable, yet...
