Pros: Location is great. Swimming area was very clean. Due to the size of our party, we had four rooms over the span of four days. Two of the rooms were more up to date than the other two. For those that dealt with the staff, they were very friendly and accommodating. The property was very clean. It was nice to have a refrigerator and a microwave in the room along with great air conditioning. The pricing was awesome due to the size of our group. The grandkids enjoyed the miniature golf and the pool. Convenient to have Terry’s restaurant across the street. You get an abundance of food for a great price and we were able to just stay parked at the hotel and walk across the street. The grandkids also enjoyed the arcade which is about a half a block or more from the hotel.
Cons: The majority of my comments in this category refer to the handicap room and the accessibility to the rest of the facility. The only comments that are in reference to all four rooms is that our rooms were not vacuumed and the floors in the restroom were not swept daily and two of the rooms need updated bedding and carpet to remove mustiness and to brighten the rooms. As for the handicap accessibility, there needs to be some major upgrades. The restroom in the handicap room has a tub and it should be a shower. The showerhead needs to be a handheld. The toliet needs to be taller to make for easier sitting and standing. None of the sidewalks around the office area, pool area or miniature golf area have a ramp to access these areas. I had to have assistance to go up over the edge of the sidewalk to enter the pool and miniature golf area . I was unable to enter the office or the breakfast area due to stairs being the only available source of entry.

Read moreFor starters the best thing about this place is location. Very close to the crater of diamonds, within 5 minutes or so. We stayed 3 nights here. Rooms were comfortable with a couple complaints ill explain later.
Everything you might need for your digging adventures is within walking distance of the hotel. Whether its good wholesome food to feed the youngins or yourself its close by.
For relaxing after your digging they have a put put golf course that's very nice and well kept. The pool area is very clean and has plenty of space for relaxing. Pool is not overly large but plenty of space to cool off after a long day. They have soda machines that dispense cans for 75 cents a can. They have free ice machines as well on site. Free wifi and breakfast every morning until 9.
Now for the unfortunate. We had a room with 2 queen size beds. Beds were nice as well as the bathroom. A couple of complaints would be the weather stripping on the door. It had stormed pretty bad and there was just enough room at the top of the door that bugs were crawling through on occasion. This mainly happened on only one night. The ac was our other complaint about the room. It seems to be throttled so that it doesn't run for longer than 1 minute every 20 or 30 minutes.
Outside of the room they have a washer and dryer area for your clothes. However, the washer took forever to fill with water. One of the dryers had a sign for being "out of order" but in-fact both were out. We had to drive with wet clothes out of town to find a washroom that was open after hours. About 20 minutes out of town to Nashville. They serve a free breakfast but no protein meats of eggs. Apparently they need a separate license for that from what...
Read moreWe stayed here based on the reviews of their breakfast and were pretty disappointed. We weren't too worried about the room in the reviews because we were planning to mine for diamonds all day anyway. It was an easy check-in. The room itself smelled like old cigarette smoke, the floor was like thin carpet laid over concrete with no padding, and the bed was so uncomfortable that I could barely move in the morning because my back hurt so badly. The reviews talked about how good the breakfast was, so we were pretty excited to try it, and it ended up being pretty terrible. Not sure if it's because it may have been their "off season" or what, but the continental breakfast they provided was cold French toast that we had to put in the toaster to eat, bagels that must have been frozen at one point because half of it was soggy, the other half hard as a rock, and this was after putting it in the toaster to warm it up. Our other options were nutrigrain bars, cereal, and coffee. There was NO meat, no biscuits and gravy, etc. There was no hot food at all. And half of the butter we grabbed was not good - it was a dark yellow and hard.. very different than the fluffy bright yellow it was supposed to be. As far as location, it's literally like 2 miles from the Crater of Diamonds. After mining all day, being sore from that and the bed and the terrible breakfast, we decided to stay somewhere else and forfeited our...
