After checking into our room it became very evident that I must delete my previous comment and sadly leave a new comment with the lowest rating. To guest: this place is boyb (bring your own bedding). I honestly debated sleeping on the floor with the dog as it was obviously much cleaner. I’m not sure that sheets were changed after the last guests left. There was hair and dirt in the sheets. Bring your fly swatter. I’m going to guess that house keep leaves the door open while they are…. Well whatever it is they are doing in the room (it isn’t housekeeping). Fridge and microwave are use at your risk of a million different diseases. Ok idk what you’re really at risk for but they were definitely not cleaned. Perfect for the up and coming home repairman: toilet needs encouragement after every flush to not over flow. Not sure if there’s an educational video to teach the toilets that the water goes down no up. 🤷🏼♀️ If you want stank musky air blown into your room, the air conditioner is here to help! The door also has a large gap btwn it and the frame. Set your alarm early: showering after being in this room is an absolute must. Though you could probably rely on someone outside your room yelling at someone else for an alarm. They seem to have a system perhaps for keeping time? Probably since there aren’t any clocks in their rooms either. Or perhaps it’s because they don’t have phones in their rooms to call each other, idk🤷🏼♀️. But I’m not sleeping tonight, sorry if you run into me on my road trip tomorrow,I’m terribly sleep deprived. I’ve never wished I owned a gun more in my life than I do here. *on the plus side they “absolutely don’t do any check ins till three” if you arrive early. This is because they are “cleaning the rooms”. I’m impressed the lady said that with a straight face. She could be an actor.
To motel 6 chain: get your name off this place ASAP. Your reputation is tanking by them.
To this location: may I suggest that you instruct housekeeping to bring carts fully into rooms and close door to avoid unwelcomed guest. Furthermore they may benefit greatly from a housekeeping course from your local assisted living or nursing home as well as being required to turn in a check sheet for each room they clean and to have it inspected. Yes- your room was THAT gross. My 12 year old boy does a better job. Some basic reminders: Toilets should flush Doors should closed soundly, a/c filters should be changed/cleaned and cool a room, Microwaves shouldn’t look like someone cooked their commit in them, fridges shouldn’t look like they stored it in there, sheets should be fresh be bleached and changed after every guest, flies are unwelcome guests, staff should have strict procedure for dealing with unruliness guests immediately. As a side note the afternoon staff may benefit from basic customer service training. In the industry of hospitality they are rather lacking.

Read moreWhen we first artived for check-in and after finding out our reservation was mixed up due to staff error, we were given a terrible room. Holes in the walls, bathroom floor was stained with I don't know what, chips in the table and large gouges in the floor. After seeing several cockroaches we tried to get a different room but was not accommodated until the next day. The staff was rude and unattentive. The reception area was left unattended and wouldn't respond to the call bell. I waited 33 minutes to pay for the that days rent. Finally, got moved into a slightly better room. Bathroom was upgraded but the toilet seat was damaged, the showerhead was clogged (maintenance never came to fix it, so I used a toothpick to clean out some of the gunk), towels were dingy and stained. I bought Raid spray and Traps to eliminate or at least reduce the cockroach population....we should have just put leashes on them. We needed to utilize their guest laundry facilities, after standing in the lobby for 15 mins, ringing the bell for service, I walked the property looking for the clerk to get quarters (she was hanging out some guys in the parking lot) I was rudely informed that they dont provide quarters for their guest laundry, that I should download the laundry app and pay that way. Ok fine, did that just to find out their app activated washer doesn't work (The door is broken) plus their dryers are quarters only. We will not stay here again, nor will we...
Read moreI realize that the service is industry is a difficult job and certainly hotel management can’t be easy but your motel in Muskogee OK is the worst example of mismanagement, apathy and overall stupidity I’ve ever seen. Beyond the bait and switch advertising where you say you have a pool that hasn’t been open in years and an ice machine that also hasn’t been working in ages. Rooms that stink of cigarettes, no chairs inside or out, shattered door frames, no hooks, no towels, uncleaned rooms, un changed sheets, cancelled rooms because I complained and best of all bugs. The crowning moment of all that was asking for toilet paper and being told they had none. Surprisingly the front desk gentleman, who refused to give me a name, simply stood and stared and would not answer when I asked what we were to use. After some time spent in attempting to get this resolved without me going to buy my own TP, which seemingly was his intent, I asked if he preferred I use the curtains or towels, again no answer. I left his office before I lost my temper. And hour or so later a person came with a roll of TP. Just a note your staff member jasmine, was a pleasure to deal with and should be the manager there.
