When I arrived I was greeted by a cordial attendant named Andres. I requested a non smoking dbl full. I paid the full amount of my stay which was over $2500. When I entered my room, the first thing that hits you is the overwhelming odor of cigarettes. (By the end of my stay, anything I wore had the stench of cigarettes) |During my first night I saw one roach. I went downstairs to let Andres know and said it was just one so I was just letting him know. He didn’t offer to have the room cleaned or sprayed and dismissed it. Any manager reading this can watch the recording. I also requested another room and nothing. I asked 3 times.|Dishes have to be requested and they didn’t provide forks but no big deal. What WAS a big deal were the seemingly vast number of migrants and homeless people strolling the hallways, the kids jumping up and down from a room above, next room lady talking about shanking a bi$ch. I mean, “entertaining” but certainly not where you’d want to hear. |Since I stayed for 2 weeks, the cleaning crew was supposed to come twice to clean up. No one showed up to clean. ||YOU have to bring the linens down for a new set, YOU have to go downstairs to ask for dishes and pots. |The pots were scratched, the stove tops were rusted. I mean, I could go on and on. |I was completely disappointed in this hotel. If it is a franchise, Corp has to revamp. Gut it out. For the amount of money paid, I expected at least no roaches and a non smoking room as requested. Wound up being like 10 roaches that I killed. I had to buy my own cleaning supplies to keep them at bay. Yes, I washed all dishes countertop, floor, bathroom, every night in the hopes they would no longer appear. I even left the cleaning supplies for the next person who would occupy the room to help them out. |Btw - the floor by one bed also had some sticky ring of something dark, don’t know what THAT was but had to clean it as well. Paying over $2500 for this hotel was plain...

They give you 2 towels 2 face cloths. You have to wash these towels so you can reuse them. No room service unless pay extra for them clean. Or you’ve been there for two weeks before they severed your room. Website says differently The website also states that they supply kitchen supplies that is not true. You have to pay for them and when I asked the front desk,Thay were out of stock so I had to go buy my own kitchen supplies. Which is an inconvenience. The website said they supplied kitchen equipment. I have two service dogs. They charged me $25 per day per dog for 7 days. I confronted them. I have 2 EAS I gave them my letter from my doctor. Under federal and state law states I should not have been charged. The manager was not in when I dropped in the letter from my doctor. I confronted the manager the next day. The manager said it’s on a pile of paperwork to look at. I’m still waiting for my refund....
Read moreMy wife and I stayed in the Whitestone (near LaGuardia Airport) Extended stay hotel, unfortunately we were very disappointed. We only stayed 3 nights because we were trying it out to see if we could actually stay there in the future for one or two months. We live in Florida. We parked in the parking lot and was told parking is $20 a night. We were very surprised. Considering we paid a whopping $300 per night due to the short stay. It’s cheaper if you stay longer than 30 days. The room was far from a suite and was dingy with a smell. The smell wasn’t bad enough to complain, but it definitely smelled. Every amenity we had to ask for including a coffee maker. Nothing was in the kitchen area, no shampoo in the bathroom. I asked for an extra pillow and they didn’t have one. I asked again the next day and got one. We asked for housekeeping and never got any. We had to ask for more towels. The grab and go breakfast was a joke. A few muffins, oatmeal packets and coffee. The biggest issue is the people who I believe are staying there long term. To me it resembles a halfway house or transitional living. I believe the government is supplementing the payments for the rooms. We didn’t feel safe. I included a couple of photos. My wife almost lost her ring because the sink in bathroom has no drain stopper. Notices the scrapes in the sink and bathtub. It’s not dirt, it’s wear and tear. The carpet was awful too. The bed was ok…. And the TV was good.
The location is good, but the whole hotel is subpar and at night it’s creepy. Unfortunately I do not...
