Ocean House — Hotel in Newport

Thank you, Ocean House, for making us feel home while away from home! My husband and I stayed at Ocean House for a week while visiting our Daughter. Initially, I've got a bit disappointed once I find out my husband booked B&B and not a hotel. Well, was I wrong! There is no hotel that makes you as welcome and as comfortable as Ocean House. Diana, Destiny, and Mandy are wonderful! Very attentive, friendly, professional, and pleasant! Before our stay, I could not understand people going crazy about the breakfast at Ocean House in their reviews. Well, now I know. Diana makes AMAZING breakfasts! She is an outstanding chef! We stayed there for a week and didn't have any breakfast twice. Every morning we were excited to see what was on a morning breakfast menu. Fresh fruit salads with delicious sauces, freshly baked scones, muffin tops, cookies, etc. Diana uses fresh herbs, homemade spice mixes, original sauces. You always have something sweet and something savory on your plate. Fresh coffee, immense variety of teas, choices of cold soda, filtered water, hot chocolate, apple cider, popcorn are 24/7. Daily afternoon freshly baked cookies, 5 pm to 6 pm is a social hour with choices of wine. There's a private access to the beach that is walkable, especially, on a low tide (bring some proper shoes to go through low water; I didn't have it, but it was plenty of beach for me to walk even wearing sneakers). There several outside seating places, including a deck with a firepit; Ocean House supplies you with firewood, igniter, and anything you might need if you choose to enjoy a fire.
