I was travelling with family from out of the country on a road trip. We decided to spend a night in Las Vegas and called around same day to a few places to see who had availability and landed on this hotel.
When you enter the building it absolutely reeks of stale cigarettes/weed in every square inch. The lobby looks a old and rundown, but at least it looked like the workers kept it clean. Pool area was closed for maint. The front desk ladies were very nice. We checked in and were asked if we wanted smoking or non-smoking. We asked for a non-smoking room. We paid $113 plus a $25 deposit. The car reader wouldn't accept any of my family's international cards so I used mine. This was the first time in 2 weeks across the country we've had the cards declined.
We go up to the room on the second floor and this is clearly a smoking room. The smell is the worst I've ever experienced and got a headache within 10 min of entering the room. Pulled up the sheets to reveal a very yellow/nicotine stained mattress, and the pillows were similar. Floor was clean but under the bed was a lot of dust. The walls and celling looked to also be stained by nicotine. The window did not have a net/bug screen and we almost couldn't even get it open. I was so disgusted by the smell in the room I didn't even see the bathroom so cant comment on that.
I could accept the general nastiness of the room for one night since the sheets seemed clean, but the smell was too much. We went downstairs and asked for another room and they said this was the only one available. We packed our things up and I went down to the desk to let them know we had a change of plans and would not be staying here. The lady pointed to a sign on the front desk that said all sales final no refunds and let me know she could only give me the deposit back. I explained to her that the room she gave us was smoking and we asked for non smoking. I explained that we had literally been in the building for about 15 minutes. She again said she could not provide a refund. I explained that she did not disclose the fact that the only room available was a smoking room and was dishonest in the booking. She simply explained again she could not give a refund.
I left with my $25 deposit being put back on the card, but I didn't feel like arguing anymore as I was literally staring to feel sick from the smell in this place.
TL;DR This place is the worst smelling building I have ever been in. We asked for a non smoking room and they gave us a smoking room so unbearable we couldn't stay for more than 10 min. Then they refused to give me the money back for the room after they were dishonest about the room and we were literally in the building for 15 min.

It’s right off the I 15 freeway so it’s very convenient to get to downtown Las Vegas and proceed to the strip if you want and while you’re at it you might as well go check out the Las Vegas Raiders. It’s right across I 15 so here’s a deal. It’s not the Hampton Inn. Neither is it a five-star resort. It’s a place to stay and the lady that checked me in last night was fantastic. She even Offered to help carry my luggage to my room since they didn’t have a cart. I’ll pay for this kind of service Seven days a week, 365 days a year. Because of The hotel clerk that check me in because of her, it is amazing that there are employees that are old school Really Offer and give superior and first class service. And that’s what you get here if you get Ms. Mendez, who was the lady that check me in. Good job, Miss Mendez. And to all the other snobs that left the bad reviews, whenever you have a hotel room like this that you’ve never had seen before and the reviews reflect negative recommendation, I sincerely recommend go stay at the Hampton Inn or if you’re that kind of a first class That demand superior service, And you’re that kind of a person person then go stay at the Caesar’s Palace on the strip. They’ll massage you and bathe you and whatever you want they’ll do for you, but you might pay $2500 a night especially in Las Vegas in the weekend so stop complaining and be nice. Because Customer Service is what makes up for a hotel that’s not upgraded and that needs renovations. Good employees are a good reflection of good management and the hotel manager does a good job by training her staff and supporting her staff, and I guarantee you the maintenance staff and everybody else cleaning staff that cleans the rooms. They do good service just stop being grouchy. I Recommend that those of you that are considering these reviews and checking these reviews out, look at and see if you could click on that person that gave the review the review history and I’ll guarantee you nothing ever satisfies these people they’ve complained about every hotel they complain about every restaurant every Plumber they’re just negative people that don’t have Life. Read moreIt's been six plus day that Priceline has call and emailed for my two day refund and I have even call were the people on the phone admitted two days were supposed to be refunded to me but she wasn't authorized to do it the manger was I made a post and the so called owner replied saying they'll get on it every time Priceline or me contacts them they say the management will be in on a curtain day and there not I don't seen a problem with the property except with my daughter very bad asthma we couldn't stay we needed a place to go for emergency because we were victims of a horrible crime the only room they had was smoking so we worked with it I'm not complaining I would just love the two day refund please after working with Priceline for my refund the manager lied and said I stayed five days but I have a email from Priceline were staff admitted I checked out early smh sad you should be ashamed of yourself for talking people money.
