Bottom line in a few words. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!! The customer service is non-existent. The ordering process is absolutely absurd. The food is only just barley edible. The prices might be ok if the food was great but it wasn't, so it left me feeling like I wasted my hard earned money. $15 for 3 small tacos and a badly mixed soda. It seems that no one that works here speaks English so attempting to communicate is almost pointless. The place was crowded, dirty, and the lines were long. There were people trying to sell their own stuff just outside the doors like a bad swap meet or something. We got in what we thought was one of the shorter lines and after waiting 20 minutes it was our turn to order. I was hoping to get 3 carnitas tacos But we had unknowingly waited in the Carne Asada line and they wouldn't let us order carnitas from there. Not wanting to wait all over again in an even longer line I just went with the Carne Asada. I think I found out quickly why that line was the shortest. The Carne Asada was not good. Fatty, chewy, salty, & ultimately cold. By the time you get your food and take it to the next line to pay, I only had 3 people in front of me waiting to pay and I still had to wait 12 minutes to get up to the cashier. She was sooo slow! Then she couldn't tell me in English how much I owed her. She literally had to turn the register around so I could read the cost for myself. And don't waste your time trying to ask for anything else unless you speak Spanish. Then after paying the cashier tried to hand me the wrong change. I just walked away to eat my now cold food. No exaggeration, one of the worst dining experiences...
Read moreIf I was writing my review just based on the quality of the food, it would be five stars all day long. If I were writing my review based on the cost/value of the food, it would be closer to two stars. My family loves this chain. This was our first visit to this location but I can tell you that if they did not charge $3.43 for every tiny taco you order, We would eat there 10 times more often than we do. By my calculation, I pay $1.14 per bite of food i take here and unless they're using wagyu beef or its pork equivalent, that is more than is reasonable from a cost perspective. Considering the fact that their location is in a defunct gas station/mini mart, we're not really paying for ambiance or presentation either. The service is fine, though not overly friendly. if you are looking for some of the best tacos around and are not bothered by the cost, this place is going to be one of your favorites. I can afford their overpriced tacos so I indulge occasionally but i was also raised by older parents who were very frugal so I have purchased my own vertical rotisserie and have started making my own, which are also very tasty. it doesn't matter how much money I make, I can't get my mom's financial tutelage...
Read moreThe staff here takes care of you, from the employees getting you the food, to the ladies that help you pay. I must say also, that the management Adrianna specifically, goes above and beyond.
Last night I was here and ordered a carne asada taco, a carne asada quesadilla and then got the large order of carne asada fries. I ate the taco and the quesadilla and ended up taking the fries home. When I went to eat the fries, it seemed that the peoces of carne asada that I got were very chewy and inedible. I was a bit bummed as I'm a frencfries guy and wasn't able to enjoy them.
I got on the phone and called the restaurant, talked to the cool young lady up front, told her I was just there and reminded her of our conversation so she knew who I was. I told her about the issue I was having with the food and she got Adrianna on the phone.
Adrianna told me to come by anytime after 7pm to either get a refund or get another order of fries. So being that I wanted to give the fries another chance, I had to get the food. This time I got the adobada and it was just what I was looking for.
To sum up my experience, good food and good people that care about...
