Our experience started out great w/Maria helping us in the store, but after that point it was nothing but mis-communication, lack of communication, & overall a very stressful & disappointing experience. We would actually recommend people DON'T use Mattress Firm.
We needed 2 mattresses quickly to the condo we just purchased, as my parents were coming to visit in 2 1/2 weeks. On our initial visit to this store, we promptly selected the mattress we wanted to order (we needed 2), & were told there were 3 left in the warehouse. We took the evening to think about it, & the next morning we called in to get exact specifications on the mattresses & place the order. Maria wasn’t in but she had assured us she’d handle it & get it shipped in 2-3 days for us regardless. Unfortunately for us, she was impossible to get ahold of (She didn’t respond to emails, & the phone number at the bottom of her emails was for a store at which she no longer works, which I called, & was (rudely) told that she no longer worked there). She had told us that she would make sure we got 2 of those 3, so we figured there’d be no problem & that worse case they’d notify us if they were sold. She also told us they would be delivered in 2-3 days so we also assumed we'd be fine taking the extra day to really be sure since delivery was pretty quick.
We waited until after the weekend so we could talk to Maria. When we called into the store to place our order we were now told that there was only one left (We needed 2). The salesperson we spoke with was unable to help us so we tried calling another store to get some help. Steve, the salesperson who we spoke with was particularly unfriendly & rude, & even made a snarky comment implying that we were taking up his time talking to him when he could be working on it. His rudeness made us wish we had the time to cancel the order, find another mattress store, & place an order there, but we didn't have the time to do that (with my parents arriving in just a week 1/2 by this point).
After a few more days we eventually heard back from Maria again, & she said she was going to “work her magic” & get us the one bed from the Miami warehouse & the other bed from the Orlando warehouse. There was miscommunication here again as well. We were told we'd get them delivered by Thursday (this was Tuesday night), but when we followed up on Thursday (when we never heard about the delivery window we were told we'd get) we were told that was impossible. Once again, we couldn't get ahold of Maria to figure out what was going on. Then we got another phone call from a guy named Sean who was also trying to figure out what happened. So much confusion, lack of communication, & mis-communication. We didn't know if we were indeed going to have our mattresses in time or not, & at the price we were paying this should have been a completely stress-free purchase.
Another day or so later we finally heard back from Maria w/a new update on the order of things. Two separate shipments under one sale order. She did apologize for everything, & we don't blame her entirely for everything that happened. The blame lies with Mattress Firm, for their multitude of cracks in the system & failing management. It starts at the top.
Last, but not least, once again a case of mis-communication (or lack of communication) after they delivered everything but the one mattress from the Miami warehouse we got a call from the Miami store that our mattress was ready for pickup. So we had to call them back & find out what was going on. They had to look into it, called us back, & cleared everything up, but seriously it was one thing after another with this company. Just a horrible experience. We will never shop Mattress Firm again & strongly recommend people do not shop there. You just don't know what kind of sh*t show you are going to get. We were pretty disappointed, frustrated, stressed out, & we were not expecting that kind of service with the prices we were paying. A hard lesson learned,...
Read moreThe phase of purchasing was great but delivery leaves a lot to be desired. I was given a window between 12-2, when they showed up it was raining. Unfortunately the driver didn’t speak English so communication was virtually impossible I had to use Google Translate. I asked if they could go through the garage as it was much closer then going through the courtyard and they never answered. They said that because it was raining they couldn’t deliver and stayed in the truck the whole time.
Per Mattress Firm they had to wait 30mins. They never mentioned they’d have to leave after 30mins, 30mins came and went and the rain went away and so did the drivers. Confused because no one told me they were leaving so I called the store and was told they’d need to reschedule because they couldn’t return but yet not one person communicated this to me.
I have no bed in my room now because of a delivery that was supposed to happen never happened and the woman I spoke to was less then helpful with her sly attitude and the only time they can delivery is 2-3 days from now.
Although I enjoyed working with the store representative last week, the delivery that hasn’t happened has been a terrible experience and leaves me questioning doing business with this...
Read moreI dropped in to the mattress firm location at PGA boulevard to explore mattress possibilities. I really was not sure of what I needed or wanted, only that I have had an old bed for a long while. Fortunately I had the good luck Of being the recipient of a warm welcome by Kyle, with a great smile. He really very patiently took me through all the possibilities of what might be best for me, was more than helpful in wanting me to be sure of what I needed and wanted and all of the steps to get to my decision wisely. It was a great experience. I so appreciated his expertise but not being pushy and overall his friendliness. And I am an old lady but he explained everything thoroughly logically. So happy that I found the bed that was perfect for me. It was seamless And I walked away totally satisfied. I will definitely recommend Mattress Firm...
