Funky Buddha Brewery Private Event Space — Hotel in Oakland Park

Funky Buddha Brewery was the first and only venue we visited for our 75 person brunch wedding. From our initial visit and meeting with Phil through our wedding reception date, every interaction with Phil & the team at the Buddha was a breeze. They were always available and super prompt to answer any question and offer suggestions too. From the first meeting, I knew they understood our vision and were excited to help us create it! Ben and I couldn't have hoped for a better team to get us through our wedding day. The week leading up to our wedding there was a small chance of rain and I wanted to risk it for an outdoor ceremony at a local park. The morning of the wedding it would not stop raining!! The team at Funky Buddha was incredibly flexible and willing to host our ceremony with just hours notice. They set up a beautiful and intimate ceremony in their barrel room at the back of the brewery and it was perfect! All our guests said this was a better than any park ceremony they had been to. After the ceremony, Funky Buddha had sample beers ready for the guests as a welcome drink before they went into the event room. Funky Buddha’s chef is a creative genuis!! All of the menu options sounded amazing and it was so tough to narrow down our menu! We are so happy with all the food and over the past few days almost all our of our guests have reached out to us to say it was the best wedding food they ever had! The chicken and waffles had an amazing jalepeno syrup that everyone raved about. Even a simple Cesar salad had a Funky twist to it that everyone loved! The brewery tours were a hit, our guests loved playing corn hole & jenga, the servers were super attentive and even the vibe of the room was exactly what we hoped for. I cannot thank Phil & the Funky Buddha team for making sure our day went smoothly! After months of planning, it all came together in ways better than I even imagined! From the moment we inquired online about wanting to have our wedding ceremony and reception online it was so smooth. We received a response immediately from Phil, we set up a meeting to do a walk through and from the moment we walked into the barrel room we knew this is where we are getting married!!!

Jessenia made the process so easy with keeping in constant contact with us regarding upcoming meetings, changes we made including at the last minute to have a TV set up to watch the UM game as it was during our reception. I cant recommend them Funky Buddha enough for the perfect wedding ceremony/reception or any event you may have. We do plan on going every year on our anniversary to celebrate with them. Everyone was amazing. They made our day beyond special and so perfect that I did not need to worry about anything !!! Our bartender was amazing as well. He created the most adorable and memorable signage for our personalized drinks including a drink in dedication to our dog, which was an absolute hit with our guests. 6 months later our guests are still talking about how much fun they had and that our wedding was like no other, and that is all thanks to everyone at Funky Buddha. When my now husband and I were venue shopping for our wedding we had no idea Funky Buddha had the capability or capacity of hosting a 150 person wedding. We sent an inquiry and Phil got back to us next day. We were able to set up a venue walk through and immediately fell in love with the space. We decided to have our ceremony and reception in the Barrel Room while our cocktail hour was held in the tap room. Everything from contract, to payments, to finalizing any and all details went smoothly. The Funky Buddha team is exceptional at their jobs! They truly go above and beyond to help make sure everything turns out exactly as you dreamed it would be. Huge shout out to Jessenia and Joseph! You guys rock!
