If I could give the place 0 stars, I would. The bottom line is that if you want a good hotel experience go somewhere else.
My fiancee, myself, and my 2 friends had the displeasure of staying here for a night. We booked last minute on the way to Orlando. I booked 2 rooms, one for my fiancee and myself, one for my friends. We arrived around an hour later, on Friday November 3rd. Both rooms were booked for 2 nights with us being slated to check out on Sunday November 5th.
Our initial check-in was non problematic or so we thought, but we will get back to that. We checked in, I signed papers for both rooms, received our keys, and made our way to our rooms. We took a dip in the pool which was alright, then decided to turn in for the night. We had a bit of trouble regarding a screaming drunk woman but security dealt with that with no issues.
The following morning, Saturday November 4th, we woke up early, and made our way to Universal, had a great time and returned around 1 AM. My fiancee and I made it into our room with no issues. My friends on the other hand were not as lucky. Their keys didn't work, and through the window, they saw other people's things in the room. We went to the front desk, quite understandably upset. The woman at the front was incompetent, rude, and all around unpleasant. We were told that our friends' things were PROBABLY in the locked laundry room. It took a lot of effort to get the front desk to call security to check. Upon checking, our friends' luggage was not there and the only answer the woman at the desk had was to talk over everyone and yell that the hotel was not responsible for items left in the room.
Here's where things get fun. We found out, after a whole lot of hassle, that when we checked in, our friends' room wasn't booked properly so the room was marked as vacant. So the next day, while we were out, the room was cleaned out and rebooked. We called the local police who showed up to help us sort stuff out. As soon as the Orange County PD arrived, the front desk changed their tune and magically they located our friends' possessions. Despite this, our friend was missing her iPad which had been INSIDE of her suitcase. We ended up filing a report regarding the missing item with the police.
The staff, save for the security guard, was extremely unhelpful. The woman at the desk took great offence to my friend swearing due to her items being missing and said TO ME "If she wants to come in with f this and f that then she can f herself." Mind you this happened in front of other customers.
Following all of this we were promised a refund for the room that was somehow cancelled after we had already checked into it. Which was all well and good, I didn't want anything more than that. The woman at the desk processed this refund, or so she said and told me to call expedia in the morning, as we had booked through them.
I contacted Expedia who then called the hotel to confirm refund authorization. Today I received an email stating that the refund had been denied. The general manager, who's phone number we had obtained from another employee who was sympathetic to us, answered my friend, told her he would call back and never returned the call. When we called the front desk we were told that no employees by the names given were employed at that location. The GM will not answer any calls and we've gotten nowhere. My fiancee has called their national care line and hopefully the matter will be resolved.
In addition to all of this my friends also discovered a fraudulent charge on their debit cards, meaning whoever stole her iPad also had stolen her card info.
TL;DR we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. One room was canceled and rebooked while we were out. Our friends iPad and debit card details got stolen, we were lied to about a refund and the staff was insanely rude and apparently gave us fake names knowing that we would complain. DO...

Myself and a girlfriend of mine, and our two daughters- ages 5 months and 7 months- were flying to Orlando from Michigan and were going to arrive around 2 AM. We had a reservation at the hotel from 3/14-3/18, but called prior to arrival at three different times to ask and confirm that if we arrived on the property at 3 AM on 3/14 we would have a room to stay in. The first time we called at around 6:30 PM on 3/13 the lady at the front desk told us that it would be no problem, but to call back right before we boarded the plane just to confirm. So, again at about 10 PM we called back and talked to the same lady- who "guranteed us" that we would have a room ready for check in when we arrived at 3 AM on 3/13.
So once we get to the airport, get our luggage, and get an Uber- we arrive on the property right on track at about 2:40 AM. The two men at the front desk were EXTREMELY rude to us and told us that regardless what the lady said, we did not have a room and we would not be able to check in until 10 AM. They told us that we were welcome to stay in the lobby until we were able to check in. Keep in mind that we have a 5 month old and a 7 month old with us AND there were homeless people in and out of the lobby every few minutes asking us for money! This was such a horrible experience and 110% unsafe. Neither one of the men apologized once to us or seemed apologetic at all. Every hotel within about 10 miles was sold out- we called EVERYWHERE looking for a room, and we finally found a room available at the Hilton for $409/night. We did not have a choice, we had to book it. Now it is about 3:30 and we have to get yet ANOTHER Uber, load all of our luggage, carseats, strollers, etc and take are babies to another hotel since these lovely people couldn't help us out. Side note- I find it extremely hard to believe that this hotel was sold out on a Tuesday night because it was absolutely DISGUSTING.
The next day- we come back to check into our room since it is now ready for us and the second we walk in the door we are horrified. The air conditioner is not on, nor does it even work! The curtains are so worn out and thin that there are literally holes in them and the sun shines right through- which again, super inconvenient when we have two infants with us. The carpeting under the sink right outside the bathroom was soaked, coming from under the carpet....the ice bucket had yellow stains on the inside of it....the lamp shades had black mold on them, mattresses were FILTHY and stained, the wall by the door was sealed together and coming undone, and there was black mold on the wall and ceiling by the door. One morning when leaving there was a dead rat right next to our rental vehicle.
The staff was completely worthless our entire stay. We called three different times in the span of 12 hours asking for an extra blanket which we never received.
The place was absolutely disgusting and I can almost guarantee if the Health Department ever payed a visit to them they would be shut down in a heartbeat.
We had no choice but to stay at this hotel for the entire duration of our trip because everywhere was sold out. We looked everyday for an alternate hotel.
We contacted Corporate numerous times after checking out addressing our concerns and they never once tried helping us find a resolution.....The only thing they offered us was a free stay...YEAH RIGHT! I wouldn't stay there again if I...
Read moreI am a diamond 💎 member with Wyndham and this is what I have to say about them... 1st of all... My first review was so I could get a discount... (Which I never got)...
I stay at this hotel for 3 months before a staff member (Adam) decided to lie on me.. no one asked for my side of the story. There word over yours. My first bad experience is I was sleeping with my child in the room and I got a knock on my door by housekeeping and was told someone asked him for my room number cause they want to (s.e.x.) a complete stranger and he brought whoever it was straight to my door.. And they didn't fire the guy either... they just gave me a discount $40off... the guy stayed walking pass me giving me nasty looks and acting if I was wrong for telling on him which caused him to retaliate.
They say don't smoke in your room but THE STAFF DO... The guy Kevin who works over night is always COKED UP OR HIGH ON SOMETHING..
Adam has the NASTIEST attitude if he don't get what he wants from u or him and his girl going thru it...
The Haitian man who works in the front office is ALWAYS SLEEP...
And the SECURITY GUARD.. picks and choices who he wants to mess with... For example music should be down at 10pm but if u pull up at 10:02( like I did) it's a PROBLEM... And if u complain to him about him he will go to another room and bang on the walls connected to your room.. and then DNR u without saying anything while posting your pictures where everyone can see it.
They don't give u no notice for when they are just going to kick u out. Even those they had no reason... It was said because I have too much traffic but the night they said that I had 2 people over at my room and I was gone most of the night... OH AND THEY TAKE YOUR DEPOSIT IF THEY KICK U OUT.
THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO JUST PULLS IN THE PARKING LOT AND HAVE INTERCOURSE IN THERE CARS ALL NIGHT LONG... Security guard just laughs about it.
I don't recommend any single women going here cause the housekeepers will harass you for your number or to sleep with u... And the office doesn't say anything about it...
ON A POSITIVE NOTE Juan and the Black Woman at the front were probably the nicest people but they only work in the day time... So if u do decide to go to this hotel CHECK-IN IN THE DAYTIME and avoid the rest of the staff.
Rooms are simple for them to be so expensive... YOU HAVE TO REQUEST A MICROWAVE... fridge leaks... walls are thin.. roaches from small to flying ones... If u use your points sometimes it's higher than if u pay regular.. Washer DON'T work Dryer DO...
I promise I will never visit this hotel again. And I been coming here for 3 years but this the second strike where I was wronged even tho I was never late on my room and I didn't cause problems (Even when my AC went out, or the knob on the shower broke, or the housekeepers trying to get in my pants I didn't make...
