This place is if whiplash were a hotel. Felt fine when seeing how close it was to what we were visiting for. Started to get worried when pulling up. From the outside, lots of construction and honestly resembled a motel more than a hotel. We felt a bit better when walking in the lobby, it had cute decorations and looked very clean and home-y. Upon entering the room we were more uneasy. The AC was set to 60 degrees at full-blast. It was freezing cold in the room, the lights were pretty dingy, the bathroom smelled off, and the curtains had little holes in them. None of this is a big deal, but just wanted to give the vibe of the room. We checked for bedbugs and it looked fine, but we still felt nervous about it because there were lots of hairs on the pillows and sheets. I didn’t want to set my things on the floor and I was hesitant to even take my shoes off. The bathroom was a real nightmare. The floor didn’t look very clean, the toilet had smudges on the seat, the counter didn’t look clean either. We brushed it off because it seemed like it would be okay for one night. What was inexcusable was the bug situation. The hairdryer looked like it hadn’t been used in years (if not decades) but my girlfriend wanted to style her hair with heat. Upon turning the hairdryer on, a bug shot out of it at full speed. Alive. Still crawling. Not even sure what it was, but the entire room smelled of smoke after just two seconds of it being plugged in. Because it was alive, we figured that there must have been some sort of nest that settled in there. There were also other bugs on the bathroom floor. At that point (and considering that the towels felt musty, the shower was dingy, and my girlfriend was too scared to turn on the shower or hairdryer in case there were more bugs), we both decided to skip showering the next morning. We tried to forget it and went out for dinner, came back, tried to go to sleep without worrying. Walls are thin and it was noisy outside. Woke up and started to get ready. Housekeeping was loud outside and knocked on the door around 9-9:30. We said we were leaving soon. At 9:45, someone else (a manager?) came knocking on the door. He knocked multiple times, didn’t say anything, and just nodded when we said we were leaving in a minute. Check out was at 11. he knocked at around 10. If you enjoy surprise bug launchers, cold rooms, and being rushed, then this...
Read moreThis hotel does not look how it is advertised (5/3/25). Parking is quite scarce and not much room to pull up and check in. Upon entering the hotel, it appeared clean but there was definitely a mildewy smell. The front desk receptionist was kind and got us checked in quickly.
Here is where it got......smelly. Upon entering the room my daughter immediately noticed the streaks of some leftover liquid dripping down the wall. Stepping into the room is when the moisture/mildew smell hit us. The room just felt 'wet'. I'm not sure if they allow pets here but wet dog odor was apparent. We didn't change rooms because I didn't think that would help at this hotel. Other reviews presented a much different picture.
Cons: Bathroom vanity was detached from backsplash and drooping on left side Numerous stains in the tub with no drain cover -Carpet in the entire room was damp -AC never shut off, but was never quite working Stains down the curtains Pool was empty with sludge and trash in deep end with large paint chipping Bathroom door looked as if a dog has chewed on it for days
Pros Location to convention center Bedding was clean and no sight of bugs
Do not stay here if you have any breathing issues, a sensitive sniffer or...
Read moreIn the room we were given, the tv didn't work, the bathroom door didn't lock, and most importantly the safety latch above the door didn't work. For the last reason, we called and asked if they had a different room available because we did not feel safe. After 30 minutes of waiting at 10:30 at night they finally told us we would be moving. We moved and had a safe rest of the night, regardless of the fact that the new rooms bathroom towels had hair in them and the curtains were dirty. Come 8:30 the next morning, we could hear music blasting from the maids cart, while people were still trying to sleep. Then for the next two and a half hours they knocked on our door every twenty minutes asking if we wanted maid service. Every time we declined. Check out was 11:00, and while we were getting ready to leave our room at 10:50 a woman from the front desk knocked on our door and asked if we were checking out at 11:00. We in fact were, and I don't know what the purpose of her bothering us to ask was. If it were 11:05 and we hadn't checked out, sure, ask I guess, or just charge extra. The most unprofessional staff I have ever seen. I have stayed in a number of hotels and I would never recommend staying here. You will not have a...
