El Molcajete Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Owensboro

5 stars EVERY. TIME. My family loves coming here! My husband and I had a date here today and man this place is our happy food for real. The food is just soooo amazinggg, the atmosphere and the staff are sooo freakin lovely too! :-))))) if we're going to Mexican cuisine, it's gonna be El Molcajete hands down every time, we've never been disappointed. Today we came around 330pm and they weren't busy at all, but even when they are busy the wait is never long, and ALWAYS worth it. (I also loooove their margaritas, today I tried the margarona [I think thats the name I can't remember, but the margarita with a Corona in it] and I think it's my new favorite but it's combining my two of my favorite drinks so I may just be biased :P but they always serve...

Always really really good. Holy moly it’s super affordable as well. This is our 4th time and every time it’s been clean, the staff is super friendly and the food has been fantastic. First the salsa seems to be homemade with a good flavor not spicy but flavorful. The chips are nice and thin and always crispy not greasy or too salty. The enchiladas are the BEST in town. The fajitas are super good and don’t have the weird red seasoning that a few other local restaurants use. Hidden little gem in the shopping center. Would highly recommend. A great change to the usual Mexican restaurants...

The last 3 visits the service was very poor, but tonight exceeded all. Just pitiful! Received the salsa, ordered 2 margaritas.... and 2 glasses of ice. After several minutes passed we never saw our server!! Yet, 2 tables were served though they arrived much later than us!! Upon leaving , another abandoned table were illustrating disgust as well. I left $5 for the salsa and left. The service has gotten so bad we will never be back. Also, the 2 servers we saw spoke virtually no English! Can not communicate! Pitiful ! Will...
