Rest Inn Motel — Hotel in Palestine

The Rest Inn Motel is a great option if you need a place to sleep on a long journey. My room was nicer than I expected for its low price. The facilities are not at all new, there was wear, but the maid service is obviously excellent because it was completely clean. Everything in the room worked except for one lamp. It’s located very close to truck fueling areas and a Loves truck stop, but for a long haul road traveler that aspect is helpful. It was not noisy from the truck traffic inside the room and the air con, while not excessively noisy, helped to drown out noise from traffic. The hotel is close and easy to find from the interstate exit. The check in process was not especially welcoming, done through a small window like in a bank, and their system was down for a few moments, slowing the process. They are also happy to take cash and there is a sign stating that there are no refunds. The management was not at all what most people would call friendly, but I believe it is for cultural reasons, not because they are not nice people, so keep that in mind when checking in. In the parking lot of the motel was a food truck selling excellent Halal food which was very good and convenient for dinner. Was driving when a sudden bad storm hit around 8 at night. Visibility went to zero on the highway but I was able to follow a truck for a mile to the next exit and found shelter at a loves. Traveling solo it was scary so I googled a hotel and found this one was a couple hundred feet away I just couldn't see it threw the hail and rain. It was affordable even on a Saturday so I booked and went over. It's a mom and pop place with a truck stop on each side so I felt pretty safe. The distant sound of a truck idling put me right to sleep. I've been on the road over a week and this was the best nights sleep I've had. Honestly I would have been greatful for a whole lot less. Traveling from California to Tennessee on I-40. On feb 11 2021 the road conditions got so bad rain and ice and freezing . I stop for a room the price was very fair and I had a small pet.the rooms are very clean with a king size bed and 60 in tv microwave and small fridge. The next morning being so cold my truck battery was so dead.i was going to call my roadside service to come jump me.the owner told me not to that he would help me to get my truck runing..and that he did in the freezing cold.the owners are very nice people.its a small motel but I do recommend this motel to all travelers on I-40 in north Arkansas....I've read some of the reviews and this is how I feel.you new the price before you paid.you could have went to holiday inn and paid over 100.00...I bring my own soap maybe buy your own soap..and a few flys in the motel room.my kids knows to shut the door to...
