I, in all fairness have been very busy and gave the manager of this facility 3 weeks to contact me in regards to our stay. I have received no attempts from management.
My wife and I stayed here to celebrate valentines the weekend after the holiday. The afternoon clerk was very friendly and showed me 2 rooms. They both looked iffy but the hour was upon us.
I chose the first of room the rooms I was shown. Upon closer inspection, it's a very dimly lit room, this place was not ready to rent out. It had nasty old stained towels that stunk. The room was horrible with cigarette smell as well as nicotine dripping on our heads from the bathroom ceiling. It's 2024, why are you still allowing smoking. There were burn holes completely covering both benches in the room. There was glow in the dark paint still on the hot tub which also had pieces missing. You had to regulate between a window A/C and the thermostat for the heat.
We spent 2 hours, a whole bottle of lysol antibacterial cleaner and a package of 12 rags just to feel a little security in our sterilization of this establishment.
Upon leaving, I spoke to the lady at the front desk who either had no clue how to do her job or she did it just as they trained her to do. She offer no help, not even an apology. I left a message for the manager to contact me when he arrived the next day. And here we are. These places should be shut down and their cleaning staff never allowed to sully the job again. We wore flip flops because of the nasty floor. $160 we paid. $60 at the woodsprings and completely sterilized. I did not take pictures as we were to concerned with getting the room clean to begin what was supposed to be a celebration.
This management should be...
Read moreHorrid. Where to start? Driving up, the brick buildings look nice, but don't let that fool you.||||First clue: the office has bullet-proof windows inside with pass-thru trays for keys and credit cards (if you dare). ||||Second clue: pulling up to the door of our first level room, we had a car full of kids next door, blasting the stereo. Figured they'd go away soon enough, but they came and went all night, slamming the door next to us after loud arguing. ||||Third clue: opening the door to the "non-smoking" room (it wasn't) we found the back wall of the room bowing inward and an inexplicable towel on the floor. We left the towel and avoided the back as much as possible. Low water pressure in the sink that is outside the bathroom on the back wall. The bathroom is small and cramped. Who puts all black tile on bathroom walls? There was a room phone, but it was disconnected and had to dig under the bed for the wire to plug it back in. ||||The bed was OK, but the "headboard" was more tile on the wall - weird. ||||Sirens all night from police and fire running up and down the street. ||||We had no problem getting up and leaving the next morning as early and fast as we could.||||Avoid this place...
Read moreThe rooms are visibly dirty. Mirrors are streaked bad, there’s stains all over, you get hardly any towels or wash cloths to take a shower. One towel was dirty. I don’t expect 5 star class, but can the room actually be cleaned?
When I checked in a regular room, I was charged $42. I wasn’t asked if I was staying overnight or just for the 4 hour time. The person just took my card, had me sign the paper, and didn’t give me a receipt.
So about 5 hours later the housekeeper knocks on the door to do a checkout cleaning. I let her know that I put in for an overnight stay. She comes back and says that I need to talk to the office. I’m like no problem.
Guy in the office says I asked you (he didn’t) if you’re staying 4 hours or overnight. So he charged $65 on top of the $42 that I had already paid for. Again didn’t say what the new rate was, just takes your card and charges you.
I would’ve been fine paying a prorated price for needing to stay overnight, but It was late and I wasn’t going to argue. I stayed one night and went to the Blue Star Motel for $61.50 overnight the...
