Pita Falafel Drive Thru & Grill — Restaurant in Palos Township

Me and my man wanted a gyro and was disappointed to learn that they dont serve lamb meat the only option was chicken or beef and what was left of the beef looked like it had been sitting there for hours no longer cooking very dry and unapeeling looking so we ewent with the chicken only because we watched it being cooked on the rotator assuming we were getting the chicken being cooked we ordered two chicken GYROS meals. We ended up getting precooked meat. The guy over charged us. We opened our box and although what was inside had another name it was basically a burrito and a small pile of fries. Mine u we ordered a GYRO. When we confronted the man be said much of nothing pretty much chalking it up to a misunderstanding. Leaving this place unsatisfied we decided to look at the bright side i mean at least we had food... right?????..... WRONG... took a bite and the meat tasted spoiled. This place has amazing food... AMAZING. I like the number five as is... no add ons or anything. You can tell it’s a popular place because there is always a line in the drive thru. Their pickled peppers are really good too and I never thought I’d like pickled peppers. The food is TOTALLY authentic middle eastern food and it’s very affordable. The only reason I am taking a star away is because the place looks terrible from the outside and there is no dining room where you can go sit and eat. You can only buy food by going through the drive thru. Also, while the service is fast, they don’t go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They often don’t even make eye contact. But honestly, I don’t come here for the service or the atmosphere. I come for their chicken shawarma wrap and pickled peppers which I just can’t get out of my head. The service here is nothing like it used to be. I came through the drive thru and placed my order. As I got to the window , they handed me someone else’s order 3 times. The fourth time I trusted them and figured there was no way it could be messed up again. I went home and it was “my order” but not the way I ordered it. It was completely messed up. I went back to see if they would correct this, and they were so disrespectful and had no customer service. They continued to talk over me and told me this is what I ordered. If they do not understand what is ordered on the intercom, they shouldn’t rush you through ordering , or at least try to clarify at the window.
