Update..... Stayed at the Chateaux which is the Stein Eriksen Residences sister property this visit to Deer Valley but we did hike up to the resort twice from the Snow Park base lodge. The property was just as beautiful in the summer as it was in the winter when we stayed. I got a few good photos of the pool this time. The resort was definitely quieter in the summer, but still one of my all time favorite places to stay...... This is the nicest place to stay in Park City / Deer Valley. We were in a two bedroom suite and had a wonderful time, everything about this resort is first class from the restaurant to the valet service to the high end finishings in the rooms there was not a single detail missed. I've stayed at nearly 100 four or five star properties in my life and the Stein Eriksen Residences is right up near the top of all of the places I've ever been. It doesn't have a sweeping lobby or all of the little shops within like the Montage nearby (which is also very nice) but it is very exclusive in the way that there are only 54 residences available to stay in. If your looking for privacy along with all of the other high end amenities that you'd expect from a top notch resort this is the place to be.

Followed GPS going through unassuming roads and turns and got there without any issues. The bell caption and receptionists were friendly and hospitable. It's a bit complicated to navigate to various parts of the resorts and my room but it's not confusing. The pool was very nice overlooking the lush green valley with most buildings incorporated into nature. It feels like a Balinese resort. There is a steam room and sauna in the locker room, men and women are separated. The king room was of decent size with a Keurig coffee maker, a microwave, and a fridge without freezer. They brought me a 7 lbs bag of ice cubes and the ice slowly melted away in the fridge making a mess. There is a balcony to enjoy the sun. The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub and all individual bathroom amenities. I ordered a glass of French sparkling wine and a grilled shrimp quesadilla for 70 more dollars including poolside premium, delivery charge, tax, and gratuity. Yummy but pricey. The whole resort was totally under occupied when I was there. Overall, I enjoyed my time staying at the resort.

What a wonderful place! Gorgeous views. Fabulous staff. Conner happily shuttled me to Park City and back. Anj and the rest of the dining staff (I wish I had caught everyone's names) were very accommodating, especially since we were late risers from our comfy room. The rooms are lovely, and the front desk staff were very helpful when we requested a balcony. Our room had been recently worked on (as evidenced by blue tape inspection markers) and was in nearly perfect condition. We couldn't have asked for much more accommodation than an ice maker in the kitchenette. Everything you could ask for to share a meal or drinks with friends (bring your own food and beverages of course). Perfect! Thank you so much!

We stayed at Stein Eriksen Residences for five days in December '24 for my wife's birthday. We booked through the Amex travel website because they had a small but decent room discount. Plus, in mid-December, the rates are cheaper compared to the prime ski season, so we decided to give it a shot. This was our first time staying at any Stein Eriksen property, and we were both pleasantly surprised. ||Our Platinum-level unit was on the 4th floor in the West building. It was a short walk and two elevators across the breezeway from the lobby in the main building. Now, at this level of accommodations, it's a given that the building, rooms, finishes, linens, and grounds should be nice, clean, and well-kept. There was no lack in this aspect. ||It's the service that sets it apart, and this is why you spend the money. Everyone is smiling and cordial, willing to lend a hand or assist you with any request you may have. Maybe amplifying the experience was the fact that the place was kind of empty. We only saw a few families and some couples at breakfast and never any other time of day, which I am totally fine with. ||Speaking of the staff, the concierge team called me before arrival, and we discussed doing something special for my wife on her birthday. I wanted to surprise her with a cake, and to my delight, they arranged a vegan cake delivery with sparkling wine and fruit board, which was waiting in our room when we returned that afternoon from skiing.||The ski concierge team was extremely helpful. I appreciated that our equipment was stored securely so we wouldn't have to drag it to our room each afternoon. Even though there wasn't enough snow to use the ski-in/ski-out trail, they arranged for the valet to drive us every morning and afternoon to and from the Silver Lake area of Deer Valley.||We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor hot tub and pool most evenings, and wow, is that hot tub hot! There is a splash pad for the kids, and we plan to return in the future with our nieces and give it a try. Attached to the pool area is the spa and locker room. We never made plans ahead of time for the spa but wish we had. They need advance notice which makes sense.||The restaurant was mostly empty at breakfast and completely empty when we stopped in for apre ski. The breakfast buffet was great, but I wish they had a few more dairy-free options for us vegans. Maybe they had options, but we didn't want to bother anyone by asking.||*Our experience was only marred by something the hotel can't easily control: Other guests. A resident below us or next to us was thumping the stereo system or TV for hours almost every night from around 6 or 7 pm to about 10 or 11 pm. We are from FL and running on Eastern time, so we were getting into bed by about 10ish. We tried to mask it by turning up our own TV, watching a movie, etc. A few nights about the time I had enough and was about to call the front desk it would taper off or stop.||Other than that, we had a wonderful time and will be back next year with the rest of the family for some more...

For selfish reasons I hesitate to share my family's MANY experiences at the Stein Residences (both summer and winter), for fear that too many people will recognize that this is, bar none, the most outstanding winter (ski) and summer (mountain) property on the planet (and we have stayed at the finest ski resorts in the country). It all begins with a near perfect ski-in-and-out location with easy (beginner) access to Carpenter Express and the ski school. We have stayed in five different residences, and four of them had 10/10 views (The views are potentially different with each residence. If 10/10 views are important to you, be sure to find out which residence will be yours and the corresponding view). The square footage varies (we have stayed in 2, 3, 4, and 5 bedroom residences), and they all have a large living area and kitchen. Bedrooms are en-suite and the residences are well-furnished, and the kitchen well-stocked with everything from blenders and popcorn makers, to enough dishes, glasses, etc., to feed a small army. BUT THAT'S JUST THE BEGINNING. On-site ski shop, on-site restaurant (excellent food), on-site spa (not lavish but massage rooms are adequate, go to the Stein Lodge for the larger spa if that's important to you), gym with enough cardio and weight equipment to get a good workout, ski lockers about 20 steps from trail, shuttle that is responsive to and from town, AND THE BEST PART: The service, from arrival to departure, housekeeping, front desk, concierge, ski shop and ski lockers, restaurant, shuttle - super accommodating, helpful, friendly. There are two other five-star properties in Deer Valley, with great locations, but neither one of them have the convenience, and mostly ridiculously outstanding SERVICE that matches the Stein Residences. In conclusion, don't come here and don't tell your friends, because we want the place to ourselves, for both winter and...
