We rented unit 47 at Stag Lodge for four nights in late February, 2016. Unit 47 is a six bedroom house that is two houses below the Lodge. It was just wonderful. Daily maid service, turn down service, constant hot tub maintenance, you name it. The view from our spa on the deck had to be well over 100 beautiful miles! Stag Lodge is ski in ski out and they insinuate that all of their units are also. That is not the case, and I mention this fact only to diffuse any issues for you. We checked our skis at the front desk. We put our helmets and boots in a storage room across from the front desk. Each morning we walked 50 yards to the lodge proper in our ski gear and street shoes. After walking a like distance once inside the lodge, we put our boots on in the lobby, and stepped outside to greet our skis, which had been placed on a rack earlier for our anticipated arrival. Very nice! The trail that runs by the lodge is "Success", which is a happy mid-level beginner slope (green) that has sometimes blue pitch but nice "slow down" recovery areas. I'm 75, began skiing at 71 and this was fine for me. Stag Lodge has a cute little bar and a nice lunch area, but no breakfast......and no sundries store. They need both.||The folks at the desk are wonderful and the entire ambience of the lodge is soothing.||We loved it. There was one major transportation glitch with the front desk at our departure. The glitch was recognized, addressed and the associated cost was forgiven, which it should have...
Read moreWe rented one of the six bedroom homes in the Stag Lodge community the week before Christmas. The home was beautiful and thankfully had an elevator for it's five floors. ||The home looked just like the pictures. Everything was beautifully decorated and there was everything we could possibly need in the kitchen. The home was ski-in ski-out to the Success run with a room for skis with racks, storage, and warming/drying racks for ski boots. There was also a hot tub right outside. ||A theater room in the house was fun for the adults once the little ones were asleep.||The people at the lodge were very helpful. The free shuttle was very helpful and we used the service often. The staff made sure we were able to get a couple of baby gates as we had a toddler with us. Everything was very clean and all the supplies we needed were supplied each day with housekeeping.||Loved staying here more than any other property in Deer Valley or Park City.||There is a gym at the main lodge as well and lift tickets can be purchased right there for Deer Valley.||Free internet available.||Our only complaint was that the pillows were not very comfortable. But ... that would be up to the family that owned the house to provide...
Read moreIf you can afford it, this place is fantastic. Deer Valley is a posh ski resort with incredible service. Everywhere you go, there are people willing to help and provide guidance. Having said that, it is very expensive, but it might possibly be worth it. Lots of places say ski-in, ski-out, but Stag Lodge is the perfect example of a great ski-in, ski-out. You can walk in your socks to the door facing the slopes and they will have your boots, poles and skis waiting there for you, all for no extra charge. You put your skis on and walk 10 feet and you are on the slopes. Additionally, if you ever need to go anywhere (grocery store, restaurant, etc), they have a large car and driver willing to drive you and pick you up anywhere within a reasonable distance (not the airport) of the lodge. Again, free of charge. In one more perk, they have an incredible gym with every machine or free weight imaginable, plus plenty of TVs. Their outdoor heated pool is also available during the winter. This place is great,...
