Where do I begin? First, when we walked into the NON-smoking room we booked for 2 nights, 2 non-smoking asthmatics had a slight reaction to the smoke in the room. They would not change or cancel our room since it was fully booked, so we were stuck. It was extremely late and were too exhausted to try and find another. The bathtub had 4 burn marks from someone resting their cigarettes on the tub like an ashtray. The bathroom door would not close at all, so no privacy. Second, when we closed the outside door, the gap on the side letting the light in was crazy. The gap on the bottom of the door was seriously over an inch, whereas a snake or small rodent could easily get in. We had to wad up our jeans to block the door gap. Thirdly, we tried to plug in our roku to watch movies and the TV remote was a universal that wasn't programmed to put the TV onto inputs, so, we were stuck watching crap on a TV that the screen was missing a chunk out of. Fourth, the a/c unit stunk up the air and was so loud that we couldn't sleep. Fifth, bring your own hair conditioner, coffee condiments and Kleenex. Their "amenities" are 2 small slivers of soap, 1 pack of coffee, shampoo and toilet paper. The towels to dry off with were so thin and rough, you can get better at the dollar store. We ended up abandoning our second night to get a decent hotel so we could move when we got out of bed! The mattress was extra firm and the headboard fell off when we first got there and put our suitcase on the bed! We walked out of there smelling...
Read moreWe were looking for a cheap but CLEAN motel. We read the reviews and liked that most of the reviews for this motel were positive. We called to check the price for the room and to ask if we could pay cash. The young lady that answered the phone was friendly and told us we could. I asked if there was a deposit for paying cash and how much it would be. There was, and the deposit was very little, way under what other motels are asking. She told us there was a king bed, smoking, available and would hold it for us to make the 3 hour drive. When arriving, we had to use a little cut out in the front window to check in. It was not a tiny crack, and no different then talking to the banker in the bank. It was quick, easy, and friendly. When we opened the door to our room we truly were pleasantly surprised. The room was in great shape. I checked the sheets and they were clean. EVERYTHING was clean. They took an old motel and tried to make it modern. It was nice! There were of course little things here and there that needed some work. Sadly.. the jet's in the spa tub didn't work, but outside of that.. it really was a great room for the price and we enjoyed our stay! We will be happy to stay here again if we are in the area. SIDE NOTE... Make sure you have everything you need before the sun goes down because EVERYTHING in town closes (besides Sonic). We had to drive 20 miles north to find an open gas station. AND... They have a Prater's Taters in this...
Read moreWe stayed at this cute little inn from 06/20/25 to 06/21/25 while passing through on our way home from a trip. It was too warm to camp, so we made a last-minute booking after stumbling upon this place—and we’re so glad we did!
The inn was quiet and welcoming, and the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. Our room was cheerful, impeccably clean, and surprisingly comfortable. The bed was cozy, and I especially appreciated the modern vanity mirror with built-in ring lighting—it added a nice touch. A pleasant surprise was the massage chair in the room, which felt incredible after 16 hours on the road.
There were a couple of minor downsides. The AC didn’t cool the room as much as we’d hoped—it was still cooler than outside, but even set to the lowest temperature, the room felt warm. Also, charging options were limited; only one nightstand had two USB-A ports. A more modern charging station with USB-A, USB-C, and standard outlets would be a great improvement.
Overall, we had a very comfortable and positive experience here. If we ever pass through the area again, we’d definitely choose...
