I’m renovating my house so I come here at least once a week, sometimes 3 or 4 times. They’ve always had everything I’ve needed, even a replacement spring and handle for my screen door. TV antenna, chain for my nephews swing, you name it. My wife likes it too, they’ve got great decorations and flowers and such. They have great sales. But if/when you go FOR THE LOVE OF GOD do not let the young girl with long dark hair ring you up. At the 75% off sale, she overcharged me for almost every single item. I spent a little time trying to talk to her about it, even showed her numbers on the calculator, while she stared at me blankly. Eventually, as the line grew longer and longer, I overpaid for my stuff and left. Today, I took two gallons of primer to the front and set them down in front of her. She stared at me blankly. I asked her again. The guy next to her finally said oh, that’s after tax. WHY IN THE F@$& WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE THE TOTAL WITHOUT THE TAX. I know it seems like a small deal and maybe it is but Jesus it is literally every single time with her,. After several months you’d think some of the training would kick in. Don’t let this stop you from coming to the store because everyone else is pleasant and helpful and knowledgeable, but if you value your sanity, stay away from...
Read moreWent there looking for a screw for a cabinet knob and the guy that waited on me tried telling me that a screw close to what I needed would work. I told him it wouldn't because I had already tried one like that and he came back with "then why are you here wasting my time". I guess that was the last time I shop at an ace hardware store. Luckily there was a Tractor Supply across the street and they had exactly what I needed. I wish I would have got the guy's name...
Read moreI walked in not knowing the name of the Do- hicky that I needed. So, I walked up to the young man behind cashier and described what I needed. He called another worker who came over to help me. His name is Eric. I described a screw in a hinge of a door. It did not fit a Phillip's or flat head screw driver. He knew exactly what I needed. He found. I bought it. It was a #2 drill tip that I needed.
The team here really does know how to take good care of...
