I never write reviews but this is the worst service I have ever experienced with holiday inn express. I am never staying at this place again. I stayed there for three days and not even a single day stay was pleasant.

I arrived past midnight and had to pass through the double door to get to the reception. I passed through the first door and stood at the second door for 5 minutes. It did not open and I touched the door and it did open. I walked in and the receptionist was busy playing on the phone. He greeted me saying if I wanted a room. He asked me how I got in and I said I touched the second door since it was not opening. He almost screamed at me saying i cannot do that and need to press the buzzer. I asked him where the buzzer was and he told me that I need to start looking at my surroundings and not be looking straight. I was very disappointed at this point and he threatened me saying if I wanted the room or not for touching the second door. He said he does not have to give me the room even though I had the reservation. I told him that there has to be a sign on the second door that if the door is not opening. How in the world am I supposed to know that I have to press the buzzer. I also thought that the employees need to see who is coming/leaving instead of playing on the phones. Since I did not have any other option and it was too late. I did not want to argue any further and told him to give me the room. I gave him my priority club number only to find out after three days that he cared less about the number and did not feed into the system. After checking me in, he walked out and showed me where the buzzer was. I told him how in the world am I supposed to see the buzzer which is all the way in the corner and there is no sign anywhere on the door. On the second day, I asked for an extra set of towels and did not get the towels for 3 hours. I was told that they usually dont have extra set of towels. I have to wait till they do the laundry and get the fresh towels. Phone and internet in the room was not working. I am not sure why the room had two phones which were not working. The internet was playing a hide a seek game because you never know when you will have...

When I checked in the guy at the front desk told me I was the only person in the hotel. He put me on the top floor because I had said I wanted a nice quiet room. It was quiet. The halls on the 4th floor were in need of vacuuming.

He was not at all helpful when I asked about places nearby to get food. He was dressed in sweats.

The next morning when I got in the elevator to start taking my things down to the car, the elevator would not work. None of the buttons worked, the door would not open. I had to use the emergency button and a man was able to help me get down. When I got out of the elevator a guy was standing there and I said, "You're freaking me out now!" He got offended and said, "I'm freaking you out?" Then I asked if he was the one who got the elevator to come down and he said he had nothing to do with it and walked away. I went out to the car and when I came back in I stopped at the front desk and guess what? That same guy came out. I said, "Oh, so you do work here?" Then I told him I was going back up to get the rest of my stuff and I wanted to know if the elevator would be working. He told me when I got in to just wave my arm and he would make it come down because the buttons didn't work. He was dressed in a pair of jeans and a down vest. Neither of the front desk people I came into contact with were wearing anything that made them look like they worked there.

So when I got the last of my bags, I got in the elevator and started waving my arms around. Nothing happened, but as soon as I hit the emergency button it started coming down.

I did go back in to get some breakfast, but could not find the hot water to make tea. The lady who worked in the dining area told me I had to go into the kitchen to use their hot water spigot. That was totally creepy. I only ate about 4 bites of food because by then I was grossed out about the...

I tried not to have to make this review, but after getting constant run arounds with this property about getting my money back, I felt it was my duty to go ahead and make the post. I checked in on 12/14 with my 7 year old, only to find out that their elevator was broken and all the rooms that they had were on the 3rd or 4th floor. It was too late for a refund. I was given the key to room 417 - my daughter and I had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to the room WITH LUGGAGE. We get into the room only to notice that there is a huge MOLD problem. Mold was growing at a rapid pace on the back of the night stand and the dresser from what I could see at that time. I called the front desk and brought the pictures down for her to review. Only to walk up the hall to hear her on the phone with the manager telling them that I was upset about the elevator- more is a bashing tone. I let that go and proceed to show the pics. I then was placed in room 409- also had mold spores at the top of the headboard. I left and went to Kroger to retrieve disinfectant items that would help us to clean that area in order for us to stay in the room- remember- no refund was available- we were just told to have Priceline call on Monday and ask for a refund. I just just that. Called Priceline and the hotel only to continuously get the run around from the Assistant Manager- Jennifer, Omar- at the front desk, and the incompetent GM- Emily- who refused to get on the phone. I have contacted the health department, my attorney and next is the news station as no one should be staying in this hotel at all.

We have stayed at this location several times over the past 18 months. The location is perfect for us. Unfortunately this will be the last time we stay at this property. The elevator was down the ENTIRE STAY 5 days. When we found out the elevator was down we assumed (our mistake) that it would be worked in and back in operation within 1 or 2 days. We are in Houston/Pearland, not some island in the middle of the pacific. The front desk staff was nonchalant and uninviting. When we returned to the hotel after our first day out, the key was deactivated. Walked down from the 3rd floor, came back and although the door ‘unlocked’, it would not open. Walked back down to the front desk and the associate came back with us and with a very condescending look, used his master key and it opened. In front of him, my husband tried our key, nothing, the employee tried our key, nothing and then said, “oh this is probably the door where you have to pull the handle up”. Okay didn’t have to the night before but okay. And the room carpet…not sure what was on it but my socks were disgusting after 5 minutes. Honestly, the only positive comment that I have is that housekeeping was amazing! Anyway, just checked out a day early and will not return to this property.

Came here for work with some others guys from my office and had all 3 our our trucks broken into , not to mention the other people like the Colorado who had their windows broken and thousands of dollars stolen in tools and personal items just for the hotel to have the worst security camera positioning of all time. They have no coverage of any parking near the rear(facing bombshells) or entrance to the hotel.the 1 camera that is near the front entrance on the light pole Is not constant monitor only motion activated. If you are coming here for work please park as close to the entrance as you can and stay away from the back cause there is zero camera coverage out there.it should also be mentioned none of the management level staff reached out or checked on us, only 1 upper management woman did and she didn’t offer her name or anything, all she asked was for a number for a contact in our office and then left just as quick. Knew we were SOL because of the signs but really? Thief’s had 10 minutes to hit 6 trucks and you can’t even minimally reimburse? That is a poor excuse for “security”;Never staying at an IHG or to be honest any hotel ever again I’ll stick to my trailer.
