We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Pattee. The lobby was beautiful upon entry. We had a fast check in and inspected our room. It was located on the third floor and faced out to the town library. Our room was named Bill Bell after a famous tuba player from Iowa. I did not know about him, so it was great to learn about his fame. There is a giant tuba in the room as well that is lovely. We were pleased that our room was very clean too. | We then checked out the hotel and bowled a few games at the hotel alley. Another neat space. We dined at the restaurant, and our meals were tasty. My husband got the pork chop dinner and said it was one of the best he has had.| We asked Wyatt at the desk if he could give us a tour of some of the rooms that weren't being used, and he kindly did so. We were amazed by all the different themes and how interesting each room was. We can't wait to come back and stay in some more rooms. So much history in this hotel! Wyatt was very helpful as well when I called to book our room for our anniversary and asked him for his advice on room. He is very professional. We also had another lady (I didn't get her name) show up a few more rooms upon check out. She was helpful as well.| Our sleep was terrific. Room was nice and dark, and the bed was comfy! We also loved how big the bathroom was. It was huge!| Overall, this hotel was fantastic, and we can't wait to come back!| A few minor things they could fix. My husband said the water took a long time to heat up for his shower, but I did not have that problem, but it might be because he got it warmed up. A fridge would be nice. I think a small one could fit easily in the bathroom under the sink. Also, the hairdryer seemed original to the room and a little old and dirty. Time to replace. Other than those minor things, we love this hotel and...
Read moreMy husband and I had our wedding ceremony at Hotel Pattee, followed by our reception at La Poste. Perfect. Everything was perfect and that is all thanks to Jenny who worked so hard to make sure we had no stress on our big day. Truly! There was not one moment during our ceremony or reception where I felt anything but happiness. We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, and Jenny was so helpful with that process; she was always willing to answer our questions and fulfill our requests. She is an absolute joy to work with. She worked incredibly hard to make sure we had the best day--and we did. I will always recommend Hotel Pattee not only for a unique and fun stay in Perry but also for any events. Thank you, Jenny!
Read moreI love the style of Hotel Pattee. They really tried to make it feel warm and inviting - the lobby is gorgeous, the themed rooms are fun, and the staff was very friendly. That being said, there were some practical problems with staying there that made our stay just OK. The biggest disappointment was that their website says that indoor motorcycle parking was available. When we asked about it, it turns out they haven't had it in two years! That was a major selling point for us to stay that far out of a major city, and it really put a damper on the rest of our stay. We had to park our motorcycles in a parking lot around the back of the building instead. Additionally, while the rooms are awesome (the themes are so much fun), they don't have enough well-placed outlets for charging phones and other devices. Granted, my husband and I do have a lot (phones, camera batteries, comm systems, and smartwatches), but this is the only hotel we've stayed in where we weren't able to charge them all at once. On the flip side, we loved the theming of the room, and the bathroom was amazing. Double sinks, a huge walk in shower, and a huge bathtub. It was really designed for comfort. Overall, if you're in the area, this isn't a bad place to stay, but for the price, we would have preferred to ride 20 minutes further...
