So disheartening to have to say this was by far the worse experience I’ve had at a restaurant, along with the most embarrassing and under inconsiderate circumstances. My fiancé and I dine here frequently as Perry doesn’t have many restaurant options. My fiancé has a bad food allergy to onions, and the last few times we’ve ate there his food has come prepared with onions it in, despite the request to have none in his food & making the servers/ owners aware that he is indeed allergic. Tonight his food was made with onion again, so I politely asked for it to be remade and explained again that he has an allergy. The cook (owners wife) came out and argued that it wasn’t onion, but rather cabbage when it wasn’t. She told my fiancé he “does this everytime” to which he replied “I’m sorry but I asked for no onions like previous times because of my allergy” she shook her head and told him “almost all Chinese dishes come with onion” and she walked away after she had said she’d make him something else (which we appreciated). After his new food was made, the owner, Sam came out and told my fiancé that he “had told him before he wasn’t welcomed back to the restaurant due to him always complaining about the food”. I’ve been with him all times we’ve dined there and that had never been said to him, hence why we came to begin with. I asked the owner why he was kicking him out and he said “because each time you guys come, he (my fiancé) always sends his food back to be remade”. I explained to the owner that “respectfully, my fiancé has a food allergy and eating something with that food, even if it was a (“small mistake, because the onion sits next to the cabbage” per the owners words) that he could get sick/hurt from it. The owner replied to me by saying “eating just a few pieces won’t kill you”. I told him that it could thought because it is indeed an allergy. He then proceeded to take our plates away and tell us BOTH we had to leave and we’re not welcomed to dine there again. Very disappointed and disgusted by how we were treated. To banish someone from a restaurant for having a food allergy is beyond ridiculous, and to make comments about how “he won’t die from eating a little bit” was so irresponsible and immature. Good thing we were banned I suppose, as I never would want to step foot back there again after how we...
Read moreIve been a customer for years, over 20 to be exact. I thought the food was always pretty decent. The hit and sour soup that they had was my favorite thing but they dont have that anymore.
Today was the last day that I will be a patron to this business. Ive watched the portion size go down in size consistently for quite some time, but today what I received in my delivery was shameful. Truly. The owner should be ashamed. My hand is bigger than the entire order with rice that I got. Sub par lo mein. It was like soup, wrong noodles, bland terrible taste. Rice was barely a ice cream soup literally. I was charged $30. Owner wouldn't refund my money, and that is what it is, but i would of if roles were reversed.
People need to start standing up and voicing these things. When there is predatory sellers, price gouging, anything that is clearly ridiculous as this retailers and food vendors will only further take advantage of you if we dont start making these thing said in places such as google maps. This,I believe, for me anyways is the final time. This was so so ridiculous. I ordered a menu item. They brought me a lunch item. Clearly we know why right.
If you ordersoup just know there is One size of soup, and thats small. Charge you for the price of a large though thats assured.
Maybe I should cool down before wrting this, but thats how offended I am with the $30 I just through to the wind. I ate my meal and am still starving. Does that put into your head what im talking about? Stand up to people who continue to capitalize off the covid times price gouging. Stay home and keep your money in the bank and your butt in the kitchen. Mandarin Cafe BOOOOOOOOOOO
Food quality is nothing as it was. Negative 10 on taste flavor. I cannot believe I just got scammed on brown...
Read moreI bought this after hearing great reviews from other people and wanting to try a new place. In return it was some of the worst not only food but service ever. Half of the containers were half full and the quality of the food was horrible. The noodles were stiff as rice and only worked after practically re cooking them. 150 dollars worth for food that was no where close to that. When I called the place proceeded to tell me no refunds and that they were "trying to leave to go home" as I made the 1 hour roundtrip again. And proceeded to hang up on me multiple times on my way in. The second time the food came, the difference between the chicken was absolutely insane. The original food was old, previously cooked and left out,...
