Very spacious mansion for family reunions and events. Full amenities include a kitchen and laundry room and courteous staff. Heating and cooling work very well in each room, although since the house is so big, there are cold spots in the winter. There is a good amount of parking depending on how many guests you have. Some parts of the mansion could use updating, but it is by no means out of date. There is a fire pit outside that can be used for a family bonfire. Absolutely incredible house and inn! Comfortable, charming and a beautiful venue for getting ready for our wedding. When owner Becca heard that our wedding plans had completely changed, she really went out of her way in a very short timeframe to set us up with spacious suites to get ready in (Holly for the girls, Linden for the boys) as well as a bridal suite (Maple) to enjoy after the wedding! This place was amazing. Cousins reunion. 16 people plenty of space. Amazing kitchen. Very comfortable beds. Very clean. Truly an adventure to walk through this very old building and see all the details that have been preserved. Nice fire pit and great little town. Close to Pres Lincoln’s birthplace.
