👉🏾 Mi familia and I had a great time staying at the Philadelphia Suites Extended Stay Hotel in Central Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania in February of 2025. The original name of this hotel was changed from the Hawthorne Suites By Wyndham. I am not sure to why the name of the hotel was changed but I do know that this hotel was closed for a few years before it was renovated, redesigned and reopened. While this hotel was temporarily closed it showed sufficient signs of vandalism and abandonment issues but all and all we the Allen familia are glad that our favorite Philly hotel is back open again. ❤️

Ok, guys, I am going to try to keep this short because I know people generally don't want to read long reviews, but I am disappointed with my stay and the response to it! First, upon arrival, they gave our room away. I always put notes, so there won't be issues checking in. But the clerk looked up the reservation and was like, "Oh yea, I see the notes now. She then said our original room would be ready the next day so we could move down. Welp, they were not able to accommodate, so we had to settle. The room was beautiful in the construction sense, but the room was smelly and dirty. See photos. The next day, we moved down to the next room, still wasn't cleaned completely, and still smelled like smoke. I called and housekeeping came to do some minor cleaning and change the sheets. The breakfast selection was limited and sad. The light in the refrigerator didn't even work. Honestly, I'm not happy with my stay. 2 dirty rooms in 2 days and both smelled of smoke. Everyone keeps pointing fingers so no one has accountability. And I tried to give the GM (Chin Kumar) a chance after calling and leaving messages all last week. Starting 3/25/24, he still hasn't returned my calls. Very disheartened, disappointed and won't be back. There's something in that Philly water, I don't think I want to go back...

Do NOT COME HERE!!!! Stay away from this place as far as possible!!! I'm planning on filing a suit against this place for sheer negligence, deceptive practices, and malfeasance. The bathrooms were not only dirty, but still had remnants of drug paraphernalia from the previous visitor (needle caps and empty baggies), a dead mouse was in the trash can, the carpet was severely discolored, the beds AND couches were indeed riddled with bed bugs (was bit twice upon sitting, immediately quarantined those clothes). The worse part was management believing that this was acceptable service, while having one of the smallest windows of service to exist (11amto 3pm); they were made aware of the problem, only to tell us they didn't have all day to take care of such issues, and instead disregarded our concerns until the next day!!! Took my money, offered zero comfort, and then had the gall to give us the blank ChatGPT-like paragraph of how they swear to do better, and to notify management, something that they have done more than enough times according to the reviews. Had to throw out the trash myself, and sit outside of my own suite. Philadelphia L&I is coming to shut you down for dishonestly leeching wayfarers' time, expectations, and money

So sorry for this long review but i have to! first let me start by saying if your from the Philadelphia area and your looking for a little family get away this is not the place they are either biased or racist toward blacks....1st i thought i order a 2 queen bedroom but when i got there dawn informed me that it was only for a 1king size bed, suite and that the 2bedroom would cost me $245 per night (with an eyeroll and the u cant afford it face as if im broke) so i said okay its fine because i didn't wanna make my 10yr old sad because its her birthday weekend and the hotel was for her, just so her and her 2 sisters could swim and it was a pull out bed too. so we get to the room, little old looking apartment, with falling down bathroom sink( but that didn't matter because we were only here for the pool!) so fast forward, we are all unpacked and in our swim wear and headed to the pool, when we get there we are told by pool security that we need wrist bands, so now my kids are upset and iam to because i have never heard or experience nothing like this before, so i got to the front desk and ask for my wrist bands, so dawn is like yeah, your in a 3 person bedroom so you can only have 3 bands! MIND you its me, my husband and our 3 kids and the kids can't be at the pool without a parent, so im told that i must pay $20 for me and my husbands bands! after i have already been charged $350 to my card!! so im pissed now because this an abomination ! so i pay and then i ask for a receipt for the wristbands and corporate's number! im told oh i don't have there number! okay so as i wait for what i think is a receipt, im hit with "oh well how many people in your room cause im going to have to charge you more! so i said well i can just pack my shyt and me and my family can go, did u care about that when i first signed in! she said "OH WELL DO THAT" AND I DID!!! dawn didn't even care to ask the worker why he needed a wristband for a pool he's not getting in! but to treat me unfair was horrible! so i was told i would be refunded my money by dawn but i was charged $150 and i didn't even stay here for 20mins! still waiting on the hotel management to get in touch with me but based off other reviews dont think i will! end of story we ended up staying at the bestwestern plus in king of prussia which was $100 cheaper, so much great customer service, Bar and breakfast was great!! T he pool was amazing and it had a hot-tub which was definitely a plus and there was no wraistbands needed!! and my daughters birthday turned...

I stayed at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Philadelphia Airport for one night in August 2020. I was received warmly by one of the staff members when I arrived at approximately 5:15pm and the check-in process was smooth and easy. Shortly after I unpacked in my upgraded accommodations, room 721, my guest arrived for a scheduled business meeting. During our meeting inside in the common area, we were both interrupted multiple times by mosquitos and other flying insects. When we stepped outside of the room after our meeting to go to our cars, we noticed multiple flying insects and mosquitoes congregated immediately in front of the top of the door.

I spent the night in the larger of the two rooms with the double doors. I woke up to bites on my left leg. I used the second room to store excess items that I brought and to prepare. The mirrored closet door appeared normal when I first entered the room and had been kept open. When I slid the anterior door over to shut the closet my finger snagged on what I realized was broken glass from the posterior mirrored door hidden underneath. I fortunately did NOT sustain any cuts or injuries, but this was an unacceptable and potentially dangerous situation. Had I stayed with an overnight guest, or had a child with me there could have been an injury. When I explained my overall experience to the woman at the front desk during check out, she apologized for the situation involving the broken glass door that was hidden, and explained that regarding the room being infested with insects and my bites, there was nothing that can be done about insects getting into the rooms.

I find it unfortunate that the staff allowed a room with a broken mirrored closet door to be inhabited by a guest and that nothing was done before then to address that potentially dangerous situation. The fact that the closet door was kept open prior to me closing it seems like the broken glass underneath was purposely concealed, instead of addressed and repaired. The rooms should not be infested with insects. While your staff may believe that this is normal, it is a problem that can be addressed with proper regular cleaning and an exterminator. No guest should be subjected to such conditions. While the grounds were well kept, the cleanliness of the room itself was substandard. Also one of the washing machines in the guest laundry room that was not labeled out of order malfunctioned with no final spin and left my clothing soaking wet.

Overall, my stay at the hotel...

I dislike when people lie because people fled out loud in reviews. I kind of booked this because I was remodeling my house. So when I walked in there, I was petrified because of the reviews, but I needed a refrigerator, and I needed a place to cook. I'm usually staying at the hilton, but let's be honest. My budget was not three hundred a night. So I booked this when I stepped in. I heard on a review that the carpet was dirty. It was absolutely, lie.It was clean, and it was comfortable. The bed was amazing i stayed in 422 2 bedroom 2 bathroom & a pull out in the front room, 3 tv's. Now, am I going to say that if you are just a nitpicker, you're not going to find something wrong. Maybe you will, you may not like that. The bad from door handle doesn't sit totally around, but it's not loose. Will you see a spot on the couch?Absolutely you will. But for this price, if I ran and changed the couch every time someone damaged something on the property, you should be bankrupt. Obviously, this property is cheating itself. I would add three bar stools to the counter in front of the kitchen. I would go up a hundred more dollars. I would add security because guests make it bad.Not the property |owner. I went to breakfast. It was three guests. They came with two plastic trash bags. And they were filled it up with the muffins, the bagels, the cream cheese, and anything else that wasn't nailed down. The front desk woman was so nice even though it was short steff she had to put out breakfast and do the front. The 3 guess that filled up there 2 bags. This added to open up a water, didn't drink it.Left it on the table with crumbs and bread. All over the floor. So I got my son and me and started cleaning it. Not because we were asked or that we had to. Just because comment courtesy in, because we got such an amazing deal. And our state was phenomenal. Why not?? The front desk woman said gd morning had a smile. She said over and over I get it you don't have to. I told her I wanted to. Just want to say THANK YOU TO THE OWNERS AND STAFF. LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST. THE HOUSEKEEPER MUST HAVE BEEN IN THE ARMY. OR SOMETHING SHE MADE THE BED SO PERFECT THE SHEET WAS SO TIGHT, YOU COULD FLIP A QUARTER ON IT🫢 🤣😂😅|I don't know why I cant put up my video. But I have a review under Google. Where you can see the entire room...
