Overall - decent place, typical sports bar. Kind of a small menu and a bit pricey but good food. I personally had excellent service but based on both the yelp reviews I read before going here and overhearing some other customers I know this is not the case for everyone.
I stayed at the hotel, and didn’t want to take the time to uber into town and eat outside of the hotel so I decided to eat here, despite many unfavorable Yelp reviews. I went when it was fairly busy on a weeknight, and at first sat at a table and waited a bit unnoticed before sitting at the bar. The bartender was PHENOMENAL, immediately getting everyone’s orders at the bar, plus those seated in the dining area, and making it look easy. I received the food I ordered in a reasonable amount of time, although I heard some other customers saying that they’d been waiting 45 minutes for their food. I got the avocado BLT with fries and it was good, average price and portion size. Some items on the menu were pretty pricey but there were cheaper/more average priced options.
I would probably only go here again if I was staying at the hotel, but overall I had a good experience. Again, the bartender was amazing and I give her 10/10 for...
Read moreNormally when in Philly for a game we stay at the Doubletree on S. Broad, but this trip was extremely last minute and it was sold out. After checking in, we decided to grab what we hoped would be a quick bite. We thought a burger would be the safest item, so we ordered 2 of those, some wings, quesadillas and cheesesteak rolls. First, it took almost an hour to receive our food and it was all cold. Wait and temperature aside, the burgers were completely burnt. We tried to stomach them, because we were very hungry but just couldn’t do it. The wings were undercooked and the vegetables(carrots and lettuce) old. They should never have left the kitchen. The quesadilla was tolerable, but we never received the cheesesteak rolls. I am a Diamond member and I will use my credit in the poorly stocked sundry shop but definitely not in the Players Sports Bar ever again. I should’ve taken my chances...
Read moreI had an amazing time at Players Sports Bar. I decided to take my self out on a date and enjoy the evening and i made a good choice. To start, i got the wings which were amazing but what blew my tongue out what the steak. It was just PERFECT, very good quality and cooked just as i wanted it. Also the garlic and sauce were delicious. I have to say that food takes a bit of too much time and there is only 2 servers which they run up and down like chickens with no head trying to get all the tables. Service was good but you can tell they are struggling. Also i feel like the place needs a better decor or something else, it feels like a big ball room with tables and chairs with a few pictures. Is it a sports bar? Is it a restaurant or is it a room with chairs that serve food? Other than that i loved it. I would for sure return and i highly...
