This is an overall sub-par experience. My family and I stayed at the Scenic Sunrise cabin. The view is great, but the condition of the cabin left quite a bit of room to be desired. Here's the breakdown. -The Pros: •Great view of the mountains (pictured) •Hot tub was very nice and functional •We were stocked with necessities like toilet paper, towels, and a cleaning goodie bag upon arrival which included extra toilet paper and some laundry detergent •No delays in checking in •Beds were clean and made upon arrival, and extra clean sets of sheets were given for each bed •Fridge, microwave, and dishes were clean upon arrival •Toilets were sanitized and perfectly clean upon arrival •Game room has a pool table with all the fixins that is in great conditions •Sofas on the lowermost and uppermost floors are in great condition •Very cozy blankets were provided for each bedroom -The Cons: •Overall condition of the interior condition was not up to par, taking into consideration the roughly $300/night cost •In the small loft area accessible from the top floor of the cabin, a piece of wood is clearly separating from the ceiling (pictured) •On the kitchen floor, there is stuck-on mystery gunk that had been there upon arrival (pictured) •The sofa on the main floor is quite worn and becoming threadbare (a small section of the sofa is pictured) •Many of the windows were dirty and could've used a good cleaning; they were quite dirty upon arrival (one pictured) •In the uppermost level bathroom, there were two dead bees on the floor, indicating that the floor had not been swept well, if at all before we arrived •Also in the uppermost level bathroom, the towel rack on the wall completely fell off the wall on the second day... I simply plucked my towel off the rack as one does, and the whole thing came crashing down •Again in the uppermost level bathroom, the jetted tus functions as a tub with no jet feature... the jets do not work; the button does nothing and feels wonky, maybe waterlogged •The clothes dryer seems to have caught on fire or overheated, as one of the vent type things in it looks scorched and half melted, so we resorted to air-drying our laundry after washing so as not to take the risk of using a seemingly dangerous appliance •Walls have quite a few noticable deep scratches Overall, not an awful experience, but for roughly $300 per night, maintenance and condition could've been a bit better. Not the worst, though. I do tend to be generous with my reviews, so take this as you will. I'm sure one could find a better kept place for a family vacation within this price range. The view is breathtaking though... just try to read reviews about your specific cabin before you have your heart set on one. Pictures can be deceiving, and there can always be issues once you look past the surface.

We've never done the whole 'cabin in the mountains' thing. So this was our first. I was scared at first, because they had switched cabins on us. I thought that maybe it was a bait and switch scheme. But the cabin they put us in was amazing! The views were phenomenal. I was scared again when the water in the bathtub was a bit rusty. But my hubby was a home inspector and said it was probably the cabin's first time being rented for the year and he just let the water run for a bit and problem was solved. One of the girls in the office was a bit rude, but all the rest of the staff that we dealt with were super nice. They talked us through the whole procedure of getting our key code and made us feel great about our decision. We were up there shooting a wedding on location, so we got to see a lot of other cabins that weekend (all our client's had cabins in different locations through different companies). And I have to say, that after seeing a ton of these places, ours was by far the best! We will definitely be coming back again! If you are terrified of mountain driving, but want a cabin on a mountain, this is the one for you. We are flatlanders, lol. But the sloop up to the cabins was manageable compared to the other places we had to go. And this resort is located out of the way of traffic, but close enough to the attractions. Every cabin had a wonderful view of the the mountain. I cannot say that about the other places we went to, most of their views were obscured by other cabins or trees. Even though we were close to the other cabin, there was still enough room for privacy, especially when on the balcony. There were other cabins that our clients were in (in different locations through different companies) that had next to no privacy at all. Some of their balcony's were butted next to their neighbor, and some of the windows didn't have drapes or blinds, and I was so very glad that ours did. We had PLENTY of privacy at our cabin! Plenty of blinds and drapes. So after seeing our clients' cabins, we knew we had the winner :)

We had reserved the Sweet Escape cabin in through Vacasa. The cabin itself is stunning, well-equipped, and situated in an astonishingly beautiful location. That, unfortunately, is where the positives end. The hot tub on the back porch—a main feature we were excited about—was both dirty and also almost completely empty. We contacted the company about this problem. Had they fixed it, I would not be leaving this review. They sent someone out after over an hour, and he simply filled it with a few more gallons to check that it wasn’t leaking. He said he couldn’t fill it until the cleaning people showed up to clean it, which wouldn’t be until tomorrow. (We only had two nights, so losing it for one is unacceptable.) It gets worse still. We then received communication from the company letting us know, hours after we checked in and alerted them to the problem with the hot tub, that there was a problem with the cabin (we know, we were the ones that told them) and that it would not be available for our reservation (we were already in it). They “generously” offered us a relocation to a significantly less cool cabin in an area 30 minutes from where we were already checked in—for the same money, with no discount or refund. To sum up: the cabin is super cool, but broken hot tubs are not what we were promised. They did not respond in timely or satisfactory ways, and ruined a two-night reservation by relocating us to a worse option farther away after we checked in, citing a problem WE discovered. It’s been a deceptive, frustrating waste of time and money with no sign of reparation. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS. STAY AWAY. I will update if they respond in a satisfactory manner.

I honestly don’t even know where to start this review. We have been taking a Couples trip to the mountains in Gatlinburg since 2008. This was the worst cabin that we have ever stayed in. I have pictures to prove it. ||DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! This cabin should not be rented to anyone at all.||I’m going to list the issues that we encountered at this cabin!!||Roaches|Dirty towels in the bathrooms under the sink|Dirty and molded old shower curtains under the sink |No shower curtains in several bathrooms|No dishes to cook |Broken Futons in several bedrooms|Broken Futons in the game room area upstairs |Broken kitchen cabinets/total doors missing from the kitchen cabinets|Pool table missing balls|Jacuzzi broken|Broken rocking chairs |Spots on the carpet |Bugs in one of the bedrooms |Dirty ceiling fans|Ceiling fans leaning almost to fall|TV’s didn’t work|Smoke Detectors Beeping|Mold and nasty under the kitchen sink|Microwave broken|Property was dirty on the inside and the outside ||I told the property manager about the issues as soon as we got checked in and noticed all of the above issues. His name was Jeffrey. I feel that Jeffrey didn’t do anything to try to make this a better situation for us. They told maintenance to come and see what they could do about the issues. No one showed up from maintenance the first day. Maintenance came the 2nd day after I had to call again and complain and basically couldn’t fix any of the issues except they brought some dishes to cook with.||Every time that I called someone for maintenance issues, I was on the phone for 2 hours telling them about the issues and they would say it’s going to take 2 to 4 hours for maintenance to come to the cabin. Worst customer service EVER!!! ||The outside of the cabin on both sides had trash thrown everywhere. It was totally ridiculous for the company to rent this cabin!!||Some of the same issues that we had are some of the same issues from last year that someone else posted a bad review. Be sure to go back and read the other reviews! If I had read the reviews before we paid for this cabin then we would have never stayed there!!||The owners of this property should be ashamed of themselves!! I bet money they wouldn’t even stay in their own nasty cabin!!|The owners should not be able to rent this cabin until they FIX all of the above issues!!! ||We should receive a FULL refund for what we endured during our Valentine’s Couples Retreat!! We were very disappointed and our family and friends were disappointed too!! ||DO NOT STAY AT THIS CABIN!!! Worst cabin experience ever in my life.||Very Very Very disappointed!!!! I have included pictures for...

My daughter planned this trip for our family, and invited all who wanted to attend to start preparing for it at the start of the new year, that it would be paid by all before time to leave. A Pre-Christmas Trip. It is high in the Tennessee Mountains. Drive cautiously and safely. Sharp, Sharp turns, some blind spots, no lights at night. Beware of cliff’s. But, oh so much fun. The Grand Cabin was beautifully suited for our big party. Every room is beautiful. The big log furniture impressive! The kitchen appliances are modern and suitable. Bring your groceries, or do your shopping upon arrival. Our team took turns on who made the meals, day to day. Decided before arrival. Menu’s were set up. A few adjustments were made. No problem. Some ordered delivery, and we even had some groceries delivered while we were there. There ought to be a safer way to check in. That distance & mountain climb up and down was scary. Many of the TV’s needed fixing to come on, but, they took care of it. The open space, the amenities, the fun had by big and little people alike was great! We saw family we’d not seen in month’s, year’s. We got together and had a fun time. We took Photo’s. The VIEWS ARE SPECTACULAR. Watching the kids (of all our age groups) have fun, both together, and on their own, for some of the teenagers, it was worth it. Everyone was happy to create photo opportunities with each other, individual family unit’s, etc. We met a few new people who were plus one’s with family. As the senior member of our group, with a few disabilities, I was able to (with the help, and assist) of my WONDERFUL FAMILY, who, cooked, served, shopped, had a ball, playing games, playing music, dancing, laughing, talking. Visiting in on each other. Napping when you wanted to. Exploring the sights for those who were of a mind to do it (up and down those mountains) our group made the most of our journey. We enjoyed ourselves. Remember to put the shower curtains inside the tub, before showering. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TRIP TO ANYONE WHO WANTED A GREAT TIME IN A GREAT LOCATION. The beds were fresh, clean, towel’s replenished when asked. If you have certain preferences, bring your stuff. You will need additional paper products: toilet paper, paper towel’s, trash bag’s, paper plates, cups, napkins, foil pans, cooking items. Dishwashing liquid, laundry supplies and dishwasher supplies. Come prepared. Bring your favorite board and card games. Make sure your kids can access their favorites too. WiFi is included. We were there December 19-23, 2021. And there are bears. Atop the very high Check-in Mountain there were...
