We enjoyed our stay. I’d recommend the place and hence the 4 star review but … without the view and related amenities (beach, pool, firepits, …) there were a few misses that are worth a note. Hits/Positives: * As noted, the views are fantastic and the rooms are set up to take advantage of the hotel’s perch atop the cliff. We couldn’t get enough of the views. The room is also nice and was clean and comfortable. Appreciated the fridge in the room. Also appreciated that the sliding door had a screen. Wifi worked fine too. Always a bonus. The private beach was nice. Misses/Negatives: With just minor adjustments to these areas this could have been a five star experience: * First, upon arrival and check-in, there was a 4-5pm wine reception. Sounded great and we took advantage but it fell flat. There was a white wine and a red wine … and we opted for the white. What followed was perhaps a 2 ounce pour of a very poor quality pinot grigio. We did not try the red. Seriously, serve a better quality wine and pour a regular glass of wine. It won’t break the bank. * Breakfast/Coffee … room coffee was a Keurig machine. We hoped for better in the breakfast room but found the machine there delivered a tepid brew. (We eventually walked down the street to the Steaming Bean and you should too.) The other breakfast offering sampled didn’t make a good impression. Eggs, breakfast potatoes & link sausage. Sampled but did not finish. Not good. Suggestions: * Simple step-up in wine at the 4pm hour and actually pour a glass. Maybe offer at least crackers with it. * Drop the variety and just get some quality croissants and coffee. Keep the waffles and yogurt if you must but the current coffee, eggs, potatoes and sausage aren’t making the grade.

It's tough to write this review because I want to give them a higher rating. I think I'll just start by listing the things I loved about our stay.

The View - The view from most of the rooms is amazing, yes the rooms on the bottom floor are somewhat obstructed but for them most part you get a great view regardless.

The Staff - Everyone from check-in to check-out was great. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay so no complaints here.

The Room - The rooms themselves are very nice, you walk in and you get so many more amenities than at other higher end hotels.

The Problems - It seems that whoever the hotel owner hired to design the hotel cut corners when it came to insulation. I mean come on, I can hear all of the conversations that were going on in the room above mine and in the surrounding rooms, the walls are too thin!

The other issue is the ceiling, this only applies to those that stay on the bottom floors. All night long all I heard was the steps from what seem to be Chewbacca walking back and forth, in fact, it is 11:05pm on our second night and I am sitting here writing a review because I can't sleep because of the steps above us. Sure, I can call and complain but what exactly is that going to do? Move us to another room in the middle of the night? The people above us are probably not doing anything out of the ordinary it is just the poor insulation and construction in the floors.

I really liked our stay in general, their breakfast while not great, was still way better than most hotels have to offer and the people serving the food were so extremely nice that it truly makes your experience that much better.

Ultimately though, I just can't recommend staying here if you are a light sleeper like myself and you value your rest.

I wish them almost the luck in the world but until they address their main problem, I don't see myself...

Hello Everyone — As like before, the intention of my review to help people and our community with as much info. I can provide so that it helps people to get all reqd. info and take decisions quickly at the time of booking.

We went to this property and took this as Midway from Irvine to San Francisco. First of all, It was perfect choice as a midway property!

Location (5/5) — The very first things I will call about the location of this property, it’s really breathtaking view of the ocean and the property is exactly beside sea (No sales speech). You can enjoy the Sea from your patio/balcony with a 🍷 or any drinks you like to take with your family.

Internal Property Mgmt. (5/5) — When we arrived there was a live music 🎵 in the garden and it was so enjoyable that can’t be expressed in words. There is a small private beach area inside the property campus which is beautiful too!

Sunset — You can’t see the exact sunset 🌅 from there, Pl set your expectation accordingly.

Service (5/5) — There was a gentleman named “Martin”, he was so nice hearted and friendly that initial impression sets our Mood. He helped us with all our luggages till room and all.

Breakfast (3/5) — It’s an area team really needs to work on. It was a complementary breakfast with very limited options and most of the items were finished and all with delayed refill services etc etc.

Overall, we throughly enjoyed our Stay with Ocean at the front and amazing services but the reason I’m rating 4 (Ideally it’s 4.5/5) — (1) cost is bit at higher side (2) breakfast quality (3) with this cost Room can be little bigger.

Once again, it’s a memorable stat with some areas the team to work on !!

Great work to the entire team, Special call out for...
