In response to management's comment
Thank you for your response to my feedback. While I appreciate your apology, I must express my disappointment in the way the situation was handled.
I understand that noise disturbances can be disruptive, and I sincerely apologize if our actions inconvenienced other guests. However, I feel compelled to address the discrepancies in your account of the events. You mentioned attempts to address the noise issue, but WE ONLY RECEIVED ONE WARNING BEFORE LAW ENFORCEMENT WAS INVOLVED. It seems there was a lack of communication or misunderstanding regarding the severity of the situation.
Moreover, despite being evicted and unable to stay for the duration of our reservation, WE WERE NOT PROVIDED WITH ANY FORM OF REFUND. This feels unjust, as we essentially paid for a service we were unable to fully utilize. It's disheartening to feel taken advantage of in this situation.
Additionally, I must mention that WE ARE PEOPLE OF COLOR , and it's difficult not to wonder if this may have influenced the way things were handled. It's important to ensure that all guests are treated fairly and without bias.
I understand the importance of maintaining a quiet and calm environment for all guests, especially during designated quiet hours. However, I believe there could have been better communication and perhaps alternative solutions explored before involving law enforcement.
I hope this feedback helps in improving your procedures for handling similar situations in the future.
Our experience at Lighthouse Suites in Pismo turned into a nightmare when, in the dead of night at 2 am, the hotel staff heartlessly evicted us, completely disregarding the fact that we had two young children with us. We were accused of being "too loud," which was utterly absurd given the circumstances. What followed was a shocking escalation where they not only involved law enforcement but had six officers swarm upon us, treating us as if we were criminals.
To add to the distress, we were there to celebrate my sister's birthday, a joyous occasion meant to mark her life after a near-death experience. She has a pacemaker, which made the situation even more dire. As she began to have a panic attack, our children were crying and afraid, compounding the chaos and fear.
The terror inflicted upon my innocent children by this unnecessary police intervention is indescribable. To make matters worse, the treatment we received felt blatantly racist, adding an extra layer of fear and injustice to an already traumatic situation.
As someone who has traveled extensively, I've faced my fair share of inconveniences, but never have I felt so violated and endangered in what was supposed to be a place of hospitality. The trauma from this appalling ordeal will haunt us indefinitely.
Lighthouse Suites, your actions have left an indelible mark, and I implore anyone considering a stay here to think twice. This is not just a bad review; it's a dire warning against subjecting yourself and your loved ones to such a nightmarish experience, compounded by the distressing reality of racial...
Read moreI had the misfortune of staying at Pismo Lighthouse Suites in August when I took a quick weekend trip with family.||||We usually stay at Spyglass or Seacrest, as they’re always top-tier. Professional staff, AMAZING rooms, etc. They were booked solid, but Lighthouse Suites had quite a few vacancies. That should have been my first red flag.||||Checking in, I was “greeted” by a Kayla/Kaylee (I can’t recall the name) who couldn’t seem to be bothered with my presence. It was 4:00pm on a Friday, and the lobby was deserted. It was just myself and my family, so there was no reason for her to completely brush us off. She said, “Welcome,” and just stared at us blankly before heading back to an office. I had to yell out for her to let her know we were there to check in. You could tell she was either having a bad day, or just not friendly in general. We got checked in. Whatever, it was done.||||The room wasn’t terrible, but it was nothing like the photos. I know hotels like to make rooms look bigger than they actually are — I’ve traveled quite a bit. This was incredibly different from the size advertised online though. Also, the sheets on one of the beds had a weird brownish stain on them. I had to call Kayla/Kaylee at the front desk for new sheets. The phone rang for an inordinate amount of time before she picked up. I explained the issue, and she didn’t seem surprised. She said she’d send housekeeping over, but that we’d need to vacate the room. This was already such a mess of a process after driving 3 hours from the Central Valley. ||||The second day was a bit better. Had lots of fun down at the beach. We needed some extra towels to shower when we got back to the room. I called the front desk and asked if they could provide us with some more towels. The girl on the other end of the line never said her name, but I sounded like it was likely Kayla/Kaylee again. Whoever it was was very short and rude with me. I finally asked to speak with the manager, and the phone was handed off to a Becky Tunnel. I expressed to Tunnel that I was really not happy with the attitudes I was receiving. She used one of those sickeningly sweet customer service voices to say that it was noted. Little else was done. She very clearly didn’t care. I then asked her if we could get some towels, and she said we could come to the front desk and pick some up. I got to the front desk and there was no one there. This was a Saturday at 3pm. There were folks standing around as if they were waiting as well. It was incredibly unprofessional. I don’t know who is overseeing this hotel, but...
Read moreThis is our 2nd time staying in room 3304 & probably not our last. This is a family property (it would be a stretch to call this a luxury suite) but it checks all the boxes for what we needed for this trip & I’m very pleased with our experience! There were 3 of us but I’m certain 2 couples could sleep comfortably here, or a family with kids.||As you enter, there’s a bedroom with a King bed and en-suite bathroom to the right (note this room does not have a door, but rather a curtain) and as you continue walking straight, there is a door which can be closed to offer privacy between the bedroom & the living room area. The living room area is spacious & contains another full bathroom with shower, closet with extra sheets & pillows, a double sofa bed, coffee table, a comfy chair in the corner and a table with two chairs. There’s a sink, microwave, small refrigerator & kettle in one corner. The best part, however, is that there is a sliding door that leads to a balcony which offers spectacular views of the coast! There are 2 chairs so you can take it all in comfortably. ||The view is my favorite part. It really enhances the experience & being on the third floor offers the most privacy. There’s a walkway to get to the stairs which leads down to the beach. I love the fact that you’re just steps away from the beach & don’t have to drive or worry about parking. ||Parking is free & convenient to the rooms. We used the luggage cart to bring everything up on the elevator. The breakfast is decent and included with your stay, and it’s available from 7-10am. There’s an outdoor game area which looks fun for kids & families, & I noticed an area with fire pits near the pool & jacuzzi. I also noticed bicycles available for rent & a free little library near the lobby. ||Check in was great - we arrived late but Fred still gave me a small tour & was so courteous & professional. I did notice I was supposed to get a bottle of wine as an amenity which did not occur, but I wasn’t bothered about it. We will likely return as we had a great &...
