This hotel is located in Pismo and has gorgeous views. The rooms themselves are great views wise. We did find though that they are missing some basic things such as a desk area, pens/paper, and the soaps provided smell like toothpaste. Things that generally every other hotel we have stayed in has, they are missing here for some reason. They also don't have any on site restaurants so forget about any sort of room service. The "continental breakfast" was extremely lackluster. It's literally just plain bagels, plain english muffins, prepackaged muffins. some fruit. a tiny selection of cereal. milk. almond milk. There is nothing hot, no protein except some hardboiled eggs that did not look appetizing. If we had realized there was no food options here we probably would have stayed elsewhere because it really was annoying to deal with. If you're diabetic good luck finding anything you can actually eat here because there are zero options. All the vending machines have in them are candy bars and soda too, and the vending machines were all sold out of water, or had water bottles stuck in them. If you can eat carbs and junk food, you will be fine, but otherwise, you will be struggling. Which for the prices of the rooms here, was extremely disappointing. There is no store in the lobby to purchase things you might have forgotten such as sunblock/snacks etc, so you'll have to go to the Price Street Market down the street a few blocks if you want anything like that. The willow restaurant that they advertise has a broken website so we couldn't even see what they have to offer food wise, and one website said they had breakfast, but then they said they did not, so we never figure out which was true. The room is gorgeous and clean, but you can hear the people above you stomping around constantly which made it hard to sleep. The "comforters" on the bed were extremely thin and they do not provide different pillow types like most hotels do. Every single pillow was so fluffy it made our necks hurt. We literally got up at 4 am and drove home to grab our own pillows/blankets because we were freezing cold and could not sleep. We're locals and were staying as a staycation to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were all nice at the front desk. We did get annoyed that construction people on site were walking around maskless all the time in the hallways and standing blocking doorways constantly despite being right next to the signs clearly stating that everyone needs to be masked in public areas. I realize they are not hotel employees, but as a guest it made me extremely uncomfortable to constantly have to be on the lookout for them. Other guests and all the hotel employees were great about wearing masks properly and we felt very safe here otherwise. The firepits are nice, the pool and hot tubs were all open and they have BBQ pits which is nice too. There are no cookies in the lobby anymore which is a bummer, and no smore's supplies anymore. They do still have the hot coffee/tea in the lobby which is a nice feature. All in all it's a nice hotel, but they are lacking in details and things that other places have commonly, so we felt let down by our stay here. The view is pretty much all that you're...
Read moreIF YOU’RE A PERSON OF COLOR, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!! My friends and I intended to enjoy our Spring Break in Pismo Beach this week and it was one of the worst experiences ever. We were unfamiliar to the guests residing here due to the color of our skin. They tried their hardest to make us feel uncomfortable. We were cussed out multiple times for no reason and also called the N-Word by a neighbor who we “disturbed”. They had both sides of the story but still claimed we were the problem even after reporting multiple situations. After leaving the spa pool before closing time, a worker walked up to us (4 black women) even though there were others within the same area, and asked if we stayed there and said that it looked like we didn’t stay there. We then told him about an incident with a neighbor and he attempted to follow us to our rooms. We asked for his information, he gave us a fake name and when we tried making him walk with us to the front desk, he disappeared. When trying to report the worker to the front desk, the desk worker laughed in our faces as if it was funny. What if something happened to one of us?? We were barely able to sleep because we didn’t feel safe at all. We then reported the issue in the morning to a woman who was very understanding and said that she would report it to the hotel manager with intentions to compensate us for the horrible stay. She offered us a later check out at no-cost but we were literally so uncomfortable that we just wanted to go home. Right before checking out, I spoke to another woman (TORRIE) who was being really nice at the time and said that she would call me at 9:30 to talk about everything that occurred, which never happened. While i’m home, she calls me at 10pm to tell me they were charging a $200 late checkout fee (we left well before 9am) and suddenly changed to a $200 smoking fee after telling them we left before checkout time. She then claimed we caused multiple neighbors trouble and honestly we all know the real reason here. They didn’t consider our side of the story and waited until we travelled back home to say all of these things. Overall this has truly been a traumatic experience. I will never stay at Seacrest and I will never recommend it to anyone!! Very unprofessional and...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for 2 nights to celebrate his 65th birthday. Check in is at 4:00. We arrived at around 4:30.They told us our room wasn't ready and we could go sit outside on the patio at the tables and wait until they called us. There was a woman sitting at the table on the left and a couple sitting at the table on the right. So my husband and I sat across from each other at the middle table. A man came up to me and asked me something. I couldn't understand him because it was a little loud and he had a heavy accent. I asked him to repeat himself and still couldn't understand what he was saying. He was standing right next to my husband but asked him nothing. Then my husband told him that we were waiting for our room. And then he walked away. My husband said he was asking me if I belonged here. What the heck!!!! Did he think I was a bumb off the street trying to hang out at the hotel? I definitely don't look like a bumb! And he never said a word to my husband or any of the others sitting at the tables. Also we paid for a king bed ocean view. The room we got was on the first floor no privacy on our patio. In fact the eating tables for breakfast were against our patio( no privacy to sit out there). The room could have been cleaned better. The side tables next to the bed were very dirty When we went to check out I told the girl at the desk that I was very upset and told her about the man that had came up to me and that i didn't go out and enjoy any of the facilities like the hot tub or fire pits or breakfast or anything because he had made me feel so uncomfortable. She was nice and said she was sorry and then went into the back room. Then a guy came out and looked at me and acted like he was looking for something and went back into the back room. She then came back out and told me she spoke to the manager and he was going to look at the cameras. I'm pretty sure that was him that came out. He could have came and spoke to me but didn't. It's been about 3 weeks and recieved no call or even an email I was planning on taking my kids and grandkids there for a little vacation but will definitely never go...
